  1. What in the hell are you talking about? Where did I say that's why the collapse happened? It's hard to make up a 15 point deficit without 3 point shots, like my post was implying. Where in the hell did I imply we played better than Auburn?
  2. And this is where a lack of perimeter shooters will kill us
  3. Right. When a baseball player is raking in Triple A, we don't say he can't and won't be successful in the big leagues because he's never done it there. Typically, playing extremely well in Triple A means you have the tools and talent to succeed at the next level. Obviously isn't ALWAYS the case, but playing well (and coaching well) usually means you have the traits and qualities to succeed at the next level.
  4. - I'm sure Cig and staff HAVE evaluated them as much as he needed. For starters, this team wasn't very good. Hence, their record. He knows after watching some film who is worthy and who isn't. Hell, we evaluate who's good and bad as fans by only watching 2-3 hours a week. After a few weeks, we know where the weaknesses are and who's got potentially. You think Cig CANT do that? He also retained some coaches. Think they have some input? - coming off as arrogant? Based on what? He better tear down this program and rebuild to his liking! He's been paid to lead this program. Why shouldn't he build the program to his liking? In 4 years, if we still sucks, would you be good if he gives the excuse of "well, this still isn't MY program. I had to keep some guys on the team to appear a nice guy". - YOU realize in his first season at JMU, they had a 7 game improvement, right? - I would take JMUs current team over ours. Period. So I'm good with him bringing his guys.
  5. Coaches are paid to win games. Period. If they feel they can't win with certain players? Gone. Just the way it is. Coaches don't get extra leash or points for pity.
  6. I also have no other option. Bye week destroyed my depth. 3 questionables.
  7. Does the Pope shit in the woods? Absolutely!
  8. If we are going "all in" with throwing money for NIL, this is the best option available to do it with. Consistent winner, as good at portaling as anyone, etc... I don't think we can look back in a few years and wish what could've been with someone else. Dude wins everywhere. If we fail, we did what we could.
  9. The news that IUFB got a major NIL boost is interesting. Especially the timing. A guy like Gruden isn't walking into a program/administration that only has one fit in its football program. A guy like that will want guarantees up front.
  10. I'm sure there are plenty of others being spoken to. But when asked, the two names I got were Gruden and ARE
  11. Correct. Both are in the running for HC
  12. Gruden is very much a possibility. And ARE
  13. Some names out there that people dismissed early on are in fact being considered, FYI.
  14. I'm in this camp too. If we "settle" for Candle, I'll be fine with that
  15. Dumb luck. Most guys I have are having WAY better years than anticipated. Swift, Mostert, Keenan Allen, and Pittman have exceeded all expectations. Minshew definitely helped Pittman's stats. I almost picked Jeff Wilson over Mostert. And I thought Swift would share touches WAY more. I thought Keenan Allen would be a solid 12 points. He's constantly going for 30-40.
  16. Can we make a pact not to pay stupid money and extensions to coaches until they prove at least a little consistent success
  17. HOW WAS THAT A FOUL ON SPARKS?!
  18. No doubt was the diplomatic olive branch this world needed.
  19. To your point, Tijan Jobe was a pretty popular fan favorite.
  20. -Malik was awful defensively. -We have to quit over helping -We switch on defense WAY too much. It leads to breakdowns and easy baskets. -If we didn't have a 7' guy inside, this would be been ugly, especially rebounding. -Gabe Cupps is a stud. I was blown away by his defense. Thought he'd be a little behind there. He's quicker than what I thought. -We need to use Malik's offensive prowess to open up the half court offense. Feed the ball down low like we did with trayce. Malik will need to learn to find open guys when needed.
