Getting back to Amir Coffey, I was impressed by his play in an earlier game. He leads their team in scoring but he is only shooting 43% (29% from 3) which is his downfall. But he does take and make some difficult shots.

With Nebraska losing to Minnesota, if we win Saturday against Louisville, Nebraska falls just outside the top 25 with this lose.  IU could be a candidate to replace them?

According to KenPom rankings from Monday, Minnesota was 52nd with 50th offense and 66th defense.  They are ranked 12th out of the 14 Big 10 teams in KenPom.

It's a shame for Minnesota that they rank 324th in coaching acumen.

Excellent talent and athleticism on that team, but I see them underachieving all season.  Had they not been riding high last night on McBrayer's emotional game, they could have easily lost that one.

Gonzaga maybe...Furman no. If Gonzaga get's through this early part of the season unbeaten no doubt they should be unbeaten come March. Tennessee should give them a real test...UNC I doubt it.

It would be heart breaking if they run the table during the regular season and lose their conference championship game or something. That said I still see them losing a game or two...they've already been taken to OT by W Carolina.

East Tennessee St. is the team in conference that is gonna give the Paladins problems.  Or at least, I think they will.

It's Maryland at Purdont tonight on BTN

Go Terps....

I'd rather not see MD get a road win. Not going to root for Purdue but would prefer they win at home.

It's a conflicting one, for sure. I just can't bring myself to root for Purdue, even when them holding home court is probably of more value to IU.

I would root for Purdue over UK every time unless it was for a National Championship.  Can't let them have one of those under any circumstances.

Hope UK gets blown out at home, on the road, or in a neutral sight... PU vs UK is tough, I would never root for injuries so maybe just a power outage so the game gets cancelled?  And PU can't get past the S16 under Painter so no need to worry about a possible Championship!!

And go Hawks and B10 tonight!

Turgeon is unbelievably awful... This finish to the game by Maryland has been a joke.

They have been running zero offense. No urgency.

Guess I'm the minority but glad PU beat MD.  With IU win Sat should assure we are in the top 25!

I’m with you. I root for the conference games based on what’s best for IU. It’s not that I was rooting for Purdue, I just didn’t want Maryland getting a good road win in conference.

I get you and it makes sense, I try to do that too but I'm just not mature enough!!  I think both teams showed some limitations tonight but also showed that it will take a complete game by IU to beat either of these teams.  B10 is tough this year, love it.

As long as Purdue beats Texas, they’ll give it to them, not us.

An ugly end to the Iowa/Iowa State game, tonight.  Interesting that hot head Fran McCaffery, winds up being a peace maker.
