bluegrassIU
Race deserves a lot of credit. But Justin did just as much of the dirty work today. He was tough, which was so good to see. They both played winning basketball today, without huge stats.

Race does many things that do not show up in the box score. Rob getting the ball, and getting fouled, at the end was because of Race hustling to keep the ball alive after the PSU miss. His effort/hustle is what this team needs on the floor.
SawatchHoosier
Great win for Indiana after allowing PSU to go on a 16-0, actually a 30-5 run. This team would’ve folded earlier in the year but they didn’t. They appear to have learned and improved from the losses earlier in the season. Lots to fix but ceiling seems to be getting higher. I have noticed that anytime I drink morning coffee from my IU cup on game day they get a win. Gotta remember that. It took you 30 games and me having 5 heart attacks, and NOW you figure this out!? Hoosierfan1215
Very impressed with smiths defense and rebounding. And foul shooting!! Changed the game in the 2nd half when he went on Stevens for a few mins. Him and Race did a good job today.

milehiiu
Today is the 75th anniversary of our proud marines raising the American flag on Iwo Jima. It was a struggle, that in the end our men won. Today our Indiana men raised a flag over the Big Ten Conference. Saying we are not done yet. It too was a struggle. But in the end, again, our men won. PhinithreeMagic
This effort can not only get IU into the tourney but the 2nd weekend as well (assuming we avoid the 8/9 game). Need Race and TJD to play together in the frontcourt for every minute they can moving forward.
zerawkid
I’m really liking this Devonte Green. A lot. That was a stressful last four minutes. Because of Al’s brain...and lackluster free throw shooting. The refereeing was...uneven, to put it nicely. Ryan Phillips on Assembly Call has seen the emergence of a Race coming. The dude is a player. Starting to see Phinisee creeping back to form. TJD even better than advertised. His development has been rapid. A well balanced hook shot is fine. Fading a way? Not so much. We miss every point blank look when we don’t go straight up. Just some scattered random thoughts.

IU Scott
When this team plays with heart and energy this team can be pretty good. Besides the last 3 minutes of the first half and about 7 of the second half they played very well. We just have to stop having one of those long stretches where we can't score. I thought one of the turning points was when we got down 48-42 Hunter stepped up and hit that 3 to stem the tide.
bluegrassIU
Anybody else notice how gassed Race was at the end? He plays with all he has. imagine if those injuries had not slowed down his progress and conditioning. Dude was sucking wind. Love his passion. Exactly what the group needs

IU878176
Lots of positives like Race’s play, how we got off the mat and came back, etc., etc. If I was an opposing coach, however, I would not wait until the end of the game to press us. Save those thoughts for another day because this was just a win we needed so badly for today. Anyone else see Archie punch the crap out of the clipboard? loviubb
Didn't watch much of game as we were visiting our 2+year old GRANDDAUGHTER😍 and had a 2hr drive home. Put the game on IU was up by 3 around 8 mins left to go in 2nd half. Stayed off the game thread as last game I had ( Green playing with himself instead of WITHIN HIMSELF)🤓. Great win and effort down the stretch!!! Sound like another bad free throw day but ALWAYS HAPPY WITH A WIN!!!! Lets finish season strong and end 12-8 in league!!! GO IU!!! This was of course silly and a coping mechanism to make us feel better about the fact that a player like McRoberts was actually getting significant minutes. If you want to see a player that actually does a lot of stuff that doesn’t show up in the box score, Race Thompson is that guy. And his box score the last few games hasn’t been to shabby either. Team leader for plus/minus (13 today) 2nd game in a row. Seeing why he was a top 100 player and having him a couple more seasons doesn't suck either. Total team win and contributions from all who played.

IU Scott
I was very happy that this team was able to come back and show some mental toughness when they got down 6. In the past we would have just folded because we were not very mentally strong but today was a great sign.
