  1. This Pacer Knick rivalry is great for sports. It would suck if we all agreed on things this place would be boring. I love the back and forth etc.. I wanted to be a lawyer but ended up teaching US History for 20 years. I love arguing Ii mean discussing things. When I attended IU in the mid 90's many of my friends were from the east coast lots of New Yorkers. Hopefully we get back to NYC next year. The last 2 trips to the East Coast we spent some time in New York but not NYC. We have to get to a Mets game. Our family tries to visit 1 or 2 MLB stadiums a year and an East coast trip next summer would be nice.
  2. Inside the new sports complex/ old mall. I am trying to get that contract for signage. 450 is a favorite of our the Cheeseburger pizza excellent and they have a Metallica inspired beer that's pretty good. Love Zwangigs, then go get some ice cream at Zaharakos. That's a nice date night
  3. There really is not bad pizza in my books. I'm sure you already know this but Mother Bears is coming to Columbus( the summer garden pizza pan style with sauce on top is out of this world) another place I love Yummy bowl is coming into the old Chuck E Cheese. If you have not going i highly recommend.
  4. What I like is the heart of the Knicks for sure and they play hard and remind me of the basketball i grew up with. I have nothing bad to say about them or how they play. I still think Brunson is a stud and a flopper and that is what it is. Many in the current NBA are that way. Our young Pacers and franchise in general has had more success the past 30 years than your beloved Knicks. The front runner comment is very true. Jets fans and Knicks fans etc only show up running their mouths when things are going well. Most Jets fans were already buying their Super Bowl tickets and 4 minutes into game 1 they all went into the witness protection program. Same as the past 20 years for the Knicks. I just don't like when fans try to pump up their team by belittling their opponents. In doing so you are actually saying your team beat a much inferior team which they probably should.. They are the #2 seed correct?? If the Pacers make it to the next round by "luck" or magic or rubbing the Genie lamp I can guarantee it won't be a sweep. The will not win the series but they won't get swept. As far as NYC its my favorite city in the US and can't wait to get back there.
  5. For pizza leftovers I fall back into my old college habits and like it cold. Wife can't believe i eat cold pizza.
  6. Definition of front runner( and I saw your Haliburton comment so you can save time and not repeat it) Hide for a week and keep mouth shut when losing but then puff up chest and gloat after a win. Just like most NY fans that i know. Knicks outplayed them and won the game on to game 6. Brunson is a great player but if you don't think he and Harden flop and get BS calls I got nothing for you. Just 1 example when that semi truck ran out onto the court and hit Brunson and knocked him back 10 ft and they called the 3rd foul on Neismith but overruled it and called an offensive foul on Brunson. dude is either 80 pound wimpy kid or a flopper you decide.
  7. I hope your post ages well. Usually winning any championship that is played as a series favors the team that stays healthy, that's part of the game. IIRC your description of game 3 could just have easily described game 1 minus the hurting team. No Knick fan, no matter how much of a homer can truly say the Knicks deserved to win that game but they did. Its amazing what team construction can do and when you actually have guys on your roster on the bench that can play at an NBA level. Here in Indiana when we lose we are questioning the coach why a bench player has not been finishing the game, in NY you don't want anyone on the bench in the game EVER. At least your guys had the day off Sunday and delivered a nice Mothers Day gift for all of you men in NYC so you could take your Mom or wife out earlier than expected for dinner. As far as the whining and crying goes, you must not have been a NY fan very long. Yankee and Knick fans are some of the whiniest, crying little girls when things go against them that I have encountered in my life. Living in Bloomington for 12 years with many NYC buddies and students etc. I have heard it all. All fans whine for sure but NYC fans do it BIG, Front runners to say the least. Its been nearly 30 years and Knick fans still cry about Reggie pushing down Greg Anthony to get the steal and hit the 3. Maybe this new generation of fan is better than those that I know. I mean in todays society no one whines about anything, everyone is so thick skinned.
  8. As a coach you do and say whatever you have to in order to give your team the best chance at success. Game 1 the Pacers got screwed even Mike Greenberg the biggest Knick scrotum toter even said that. Carlisle took the high road and said the pacers did not take advantage of what they needed to to win. all is accurate and true. Even with the refs screw job they had their chances and blew it. Since the officiated was not any better in Game 2 i don't blame Rick for what he said and did. in the end if that is beneficial to the Pacers i dont care how it looks to the outside world. Rick has a locker room to protect and do what he has to to win playoff games. The Pacers put themself in position to win both and were not up to it in clutch time and the Knicks were. The Knicks won both games by making plays. The refs did not lose the games for the Pacers but they sure as heck did not help them in any way shape or form. The "inadvertent" whistle with the hand motion that is exactly the same as a double dribble call get changed when officials get together but a kick ball that turned into a 5 pt play does not. Rick has every right to be pissed and these officials look like idiots. Now if the Pacers get the benefit of the doubt and still lose at home Rick has little room to work with. At this point down 0-2 I don't blame his strategy and as a Pacer fan I could care less how this makes me look. MJ was the biggest dick in the sport but 6 rings speak for themself
  9. This one was my favorite. Spelled the same forward and backwards
  10. I might be wrong but i think both of them are on the board of directors for Face 2 Face a Christian non for profit profiling Christian athletes. My former minister runs the program. The President of the BOD none other that Steve Alford.
  11. Taken from a friend with a high powered telescope
  12. The whole family climbed up on the roof had some snacks and drinks and enjoyed the totality of the event.
  13. Welcome Home. I have no suggestions for those topics but I do know a sign guy...
  14. I under stand AR had 2 TDS not taking away from that just the argument that they beat a back up . On the flip side the Colts won without JT and lost with JT so does that mean the Colts are better without him?? Of course not so stats can be used to support whatever you want them to. What we cant spin is CJ threw for over 300 yards in each game against the Colts , he killed our secondary and the Texans added more offensive weapons for him. I think AR is going to be great but the Colts are not IMO supporting him like the Texans are CJ and we will have to wait and see what the next 10 years bring. The Texans are using the same strategy the Colts did after drafting Manning.
  15. Their QB1 was playing in his 1st or 2nd pro game and look how he turned out. He torched our secondary all day long in the second meeting without one of their biggest weapons and now he has a decent running back and 2 play making receivers has a very good tight end. Our offense is not on par with Houston. I think the we have the better coach but when you have a QB on a rookie contract why not go out and get a big time play maker. I feel the Colts are not providing AR with the tools needed and Houston is with CJ. Not saying either is right but I dont think AR is getting enough weapons. The draft might help that. Last thing I am not positive but i remember hearing that the Texans were down 7 starters in the 1st meeting. Also just checked. Here are the stats for the QBS in that first meeting AR was 6/10 for 56 yards and 0 TD Gardner was 19/23 171 with 1 TD That win was with our back up as well so the they beat our backup is not applicable for the 2nd game. Texans are going all in this year and the Colts continue to stand pat.
