  1. Apparently the BoT didn't vet who was staying or going with Woody before they made their decision. It's gonna get rough folks.
  2. I can deal with missed recruits, a down year and even bad losses. I've seen great coaches have terrible years. But when a team get's worse every game, there's an internal problem. When a coach doesn't have any answers, adjustments, or excitement, the kids lose hope. Woodson has lost the team. There is no help on the way, and he is too stubborn to change or hire talented assistants. And he simply doesn't have the schematic tool box to adjust to a different roster every year. It's time to move on.
  3. This was going to be a rebuild year after JHS blew up. And then we got a couple exciting surprises, and everyone got their expectations up. Woody worked hard to get Ware and Mbako, and if Knecht came through we might have been a dangerous team. But this is our team and we root for growth, development, and great moments. Give up on IU basketball if that's your character and you can't be there through the thick and thin. We all know plenty of those people, it's not unusual. Some fans have an asterisk.
  4. Underclassmen scored 53 of our 74 points. We're 4th in the B10. There's gonna be some bad losses, but this is the ride.
  5. I've sat by silently going back to the Eric Gordon days. But our young and newly constructed team plays it's heart out and pushes the #2 team in the country to the finish- and hoosiernation is largely still grousing about our players, coaches, rotations, recruiting. Who needs to be recruited over, pushed out, fired etc...And you wonder why we lose out on so many recruiting battles. Luckily, there were a lot of great recruits at the game who can see the weekly development of our underclassman and the heart our team put on the court yesterday. Sometimes when you lose, you win. My team is on the floor.
  6. I was at basketball camp when news came that Len Bias had passed. Bob Knight sat the whole camp down in the fieldhouse, and proceeded to urge, beg, yell and cuss at us to never do drugs. I was close enough to the front to see that Coach was crying. Thanks for changing so many lives Coach.
