  1. The last sentence of that article is the positive: “Indiana has come a long way very quickly in the Mike Woodson era. They will continue to compete for elite talent with him at the helm.” It sucks, but we’ll be okay.

  3. Woody has landed a highly rated Spring decommit in each cycle so far. He's also been successful in the portal. The staff has been going hard after Queen for a long time and that pursuit is only going to ramp up now if we miss on Boogie. We only had 2 commits in Cupps and Newton last year after the season.. We ended up with 6 commits and a borderline top 10 class nationally, including two 5-stars. We are going to be fine. The transfer portal and NIL has changed everything. We didn't win this one, but IU has the ability now to battle with the elite programs on a consistent basis and win big time recruitments. IU isn't in the conversation for Boogie Fland a few years ago. We are going to be alright.
  4. Here's what I will say if we don't land Boogie: We didn't recruit Cupps to be a career back up. He is going to work his *** off and I will be very surprised if he doesn't have a very good college career. Just because we missed on one guy doesn't mean the sky is falling. We got a team to look forward to this year and a whole hell of a lot of time to add some guys before next. We'll be alright.
  5. One of the Rivals guys switched their pick to UK from IU.
  6. I am cautiously optimistic but I think it's truly 50/50. I would not be surprised if it's IU and I wouldn't be surprised if it's UK tomorrow. Hope it's the former!
  7. Sorry I was slacking. I have updated the grid in the original post to be accurate (hopefully).
  8. If Barrel Rick says it.. It's true. Boogie to IU confirmed.
  9. Looks like TJD was awesome last night. So happy for him. Perfect fit in Golden State.

  11. He was referring to Bama, who was essentially not in it at all.
  12. IU received another Rivals FutureCast pick for Boogie from a Rutgers writer, Richard Schnyderite.
  13. I agree. Everyone said Kansas for Mgbako.. because they didn't really know. I think it's the same here.
  14. https://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/i-ve-got-five-on-it-where-things-stand-with-top-uncommitted-seniors RANKING: No. 10 WHAT’S GOING ON? Fland will announce his decision on Oct. 20 at a ceremony at New York’s Archbishop Stepinac High School, where he became a star and a top-flight prospect. He’s narrowed his focus to include just Alabama, Kentucky and Indiana and has already visited each campus. The last few months have seen all three coaching staffs make multiple visits to his school as none of the three schools that remain in play have started to wave the white flag. Fland’s recruitment has been one of the more contested races of the 2024 cycle. CASSIDY’S TAKE: Nothing feels certain as we head toward Fland’s commitment. Concrete information on which way the five-star guard is leaning is exceedingly difficult to come by these days, but it would be both a cop-out and a lie if I wrote that I see it as a three-way tossup. With that in mind, I see the hierarchy as Kentucky, Indiana, Alabama – in that order. I’d be stunned if the pick were Alabama, but Mike Woodson’s Hoosiers closing the gap and winning out still feels like a possibility, even if I’m leaning toward UK as I type this. This is a two-horse race in the final corner. I wrote this a month or so ago and have heard nothing thus far that would make me want to alter the pecking order I outlined at the time. We’ll see, though.
  15. SIAP - UK Rivals staff think it's UK. I can't see their reasoning as to why but that's what I read on their free board.
  16. Unless a flood of CB's come in, I could see this being just like Mgbako. We may not have a clue until he announces.
