The Pacers put themself in position to win both and were not up to it in clutch time and the Knicks were. The Knicks won both games by making plays. The refs did not lose the games for the Pacers but they sure as heck did not help them in any way shape or form.

I think that pretty well sums it up. People can whine about the refs until they turn blue, but the refs did not cause Turner to only get two rebounds in the first game. They didn't cause Nembhard to be a jersey grabber throughout both games. They didn't cause Carlisle to put McConnell (the only guard doing a good job on Brunson) on the bench at the end of game two. They didn't cause a number of other shortcomings by the Pacers.

We need to remember the Pacers had trouble with Milwaukee in that series, even though Giannis did not play, and Lillard missed most of the series. Heck the Knicks have been missing Randle and Bogdanovic this whole series.

Our Pacers just need to play harder and smarter and not put themselves in situations where anything other than the players can make a difference. That would go a long way.

Glad this series is about to end. Tired of some of these Bucks players, and probably more tired of Spero Dedes acting like every Bucks basket is the start of some huge rally.

These announcers do have a habit of over-reacting, don't they? Within seconds you hear "The Bucks are on the ropes" and then "Here come the Bucks, they aren't dead yet".

My big take away from the game is, where has this defensive effort been hiding? Very impressive.

People who don’t realize it’s called an accelerator! Can you possibly get away from a stop any slower!

We all know that the last person to see the light turn green is always in the first car in line.

My office is downtown Cincinnati about 4 blocks from Paycor Stadium, and I swear the Taylor Swift phenomenon must have been like what the Beatles or Elvis must have been like.  The two concerts were Friday and Saturday night.  There were people lining up Wednesday night for when the merchandise truck opened Thursday at noon.

She has a heck of a long way to go to match the talent of either Elvis or The Beatles. What she has is one heck of a PR team.

  5. A couple thoughts, most of which have nothing to do with the game.

I laughed during the last time out, when the camera showed Carlisle giving instructions to the team, and Jenny gave him a look like "You want them to do what?" I'm sure that isn't what was actually happening, but the visual was funny.

Hubie Brown. Had not heard him in a long time. I mean years. I wasn't even sure he was still alive. The last time I heard him, I thought he might have gotten a bit senile, but last night he was excellent. 90 years old and still doing the job. That was so good to hear. Very rarely watch ESPN and find most of their people to be loud, annoying and sometimes just plain old stupid. They could all learn a lot from a guy like Hubie.

I'm sure you are busy typing to the other participants in the coach conversation that their posts don't belong here either ;)

You would be wrong about that. I was not suggesting any single comment was out of line. Rather, I was suggesting that when a video or whatever sparks this sort of debate, it might be better to do a Copy/Paste of it to the appropriate sub-forum. Then folks could freely debate their thoughts. That's all.

    Yes mother.

I'm responding to the idiot in the video that took an unnecessary shot at critics of Woodson.

If you're going to miss the point, then you might want to sit out of the conversation.

Oddly enough, I thought the discussion in this forum was supposed to be "Portal/Late Decommits IU Is Interested In"

So perhaps it is the "conversation" that is out of place?

I cannot fathom taking Penix or Nix in the first rd. To each their own.

I don't know about Nix, but I can see it for Penix. Atlanta has their veteran QB (Cousins) under contract for a few more years. That gives Penix time to sit and watch, listen, learn and absorb all he can from a solid starter. I think that is a benefit for him and the team both down the road.
