it was a quote posted in this thread. I responded with my OPINION on it. If you don't like other people having opinions, then ignore them.
Why are you worrying about a quote from two or three years ago.

I saw someone say the logistics of UConn and chapel hill was a nightmare. Winter flying get tricky. 2 games a week. Yuckkk.
Also the family will be closer to most of the conference road games if he picks IU

Our team will look drastically different this year
I have been watching all the interviews during media day if the players. If what the players say actually happen on the court it sounds like they will playing a lot faster tempo

I hope he picks IU but if it was my kid I’d be sending him to UConn. That be only school Id choose over IU. Their offense is incredible and he’s getting guys like Spencer to the league. If Woody actually changes the offense this year and we would get away from 1970’s ball I’d changes my mind. Mullins is a great shooter. We consistently rank in 250 or higher in 3’s attempted a game.
If they are a real close family and want to see him play then UCONN would be hard to get to

Over on BTB sounds like its a done deal to IU perhaps?
I wouldn't listen to what Chris says to much. If he has been right more our coach right now would be Brad Stevens or Bruce Pearl.

The old model of recruiting high school kids and developing them over a four year period is all but dead. I really enjoyed that approach because I was able to watch kids grow and improve. The stability was nice. Now, and for the foreseeable future, we have free agency. Given the new reality, I'm not nearly as invested in high school kids, no matter how good they are or where they are from. It's sad, but that's just how it is.
It isn't just about high school kids but getting guys from portal like Rice and Carlisle who has 3 years left.

So just a fun little hypothetical to think about. IF Haralson had never left Anderson and stayed there he and Mullins would be in the same sectional. Anderson would also likely be top 5 in the state with a shot at being the top team in the state this year.
The year he left Fishers they won a state championship

If you don't win a championship, what good does any year do?
It would just be nice to build on a great season by bringing back most of your players instead of starting over

Buckner to IR and out for at least 4 weeks. Luckily the Bears have no running game.
They haven't faced the Colts run defense yet

if Rice, Carlyle, and MM are all gone to the draft, I would venture to guess that IU had a damn good year.
If any 2 of the three come back I would think that would hurt the reputation of Woodys ability to get players to the league, thus hurt the chances of the caliber of players we are going after.
My problem is say we have a really good year and make it to the elite 8. If all of our top players leave then it starting from scratch again. My thinking if you don't win a championship what good is it to keep getting kids for 1 year.

From the UCONN point of view.
Said UCONN is 1A and IU 1B and UM as 2

I get it but it’s the best way to be able to sell your ability to develop players into NBA talent
To me it is hard to build a championship caliber team when you turn your roster every year.

Gone to the league btw
I know but I don't like coaches hoping their best players leave after 1 year.

The plan and hope for the staff is that they are both gone
I hate that is what college basketball has become is the hope we lose experience players

If the Cts this week vs the Bears then the season is pretty much over. In the last 5 years teams who started 0-2 only 2 out of 32 teams made the playoffs. So going 0-3 is pretty much the death nail for the season.
These are the next 5 games at the QB's they will be playing.
Bears Williams
Steelers Fields
Jags Lawrence
Titans Levis
Dolphins Backup QB
So it is a not a real tough schedule coming up.

And if Rice/Carlyle come back?
That would be a great thing. You don't have to start all of your freshman

Steichen said he had Sermon (another Ballard swing and miss) in the game on a critical 3rd and 1 “to get Sermon some reps.” 😆
That has to be one of the dumbest comments I have heard. That is smart to get him some reps in the 4th quarter on a crucial 3rd and 1 play. If JT was in there and we ran the option then the edge guy would have to choose who to take. With Sermon in there the edge guy didn't have to worry about the RB.

Ok so I guess I need to ask this. Are we pushing for him because we aren't good on Haralson? Where is all this PG minutes coming from next year?
Harrelson isn't a PG
Brown PG
Mullins 2G
Harrelson SF

I don't remember, was the West call the one where he put his facemask in his chest, or was it the one where he had his head down going for a fumble ?
It was when UCLA QB dropped the snap and put his head down just in time for West to hit him in the head.

The good and bad of Colts week 2.
Good
JT rushing but needed about 10-15 more rushes.
Pierce
Bad
Run defense
Gus Bradley never changing his philosophy. He let an inexperience QB get comfortable and didn't make him beat the Colts but let them run the ball down our throat.
Shane Steichen play calling on the 3rd and 1. Also not having JT in the game in the 4th quarter.
