And agree, back on topic. I'm hoping I get to tune into Braylon's games this winter (IHSAA network) and watch him as an "Indiana signee"

    Fingers crossed.

If he commits to IU I will definitely go watch some games

I hope he picks IU but if it was my kid I’d be sending him to UConn. That be only school Id choose over IU. Their offense is incredible and he’s getting guys like Spencer to the league. If Woody actually changes the offense this year and we would get away from 1970’s ball I’d changes my mind. Mullins is a great shooter. We consistently rank in 250 or higher in 3’s attempted a game.

If they are a real close family and want to see him play then UCONN would be hard to get to

The old model of recruiting high school kids and developing them over a four year period is all but dead. I really enjoyed that approach because I was able to watch kids grow and improve. The stability was nice. Now, and for the foreseeable future, we have free agency. Given the new reality, I'm not nearly as invested in high school kids, no matter how good they are or where they are from. It's sad, but that's just how it is.

It isn't just about high school kids but getting guys from portal like Rice and Carlisle who has 3 years left.

So just a fun little hypothetical to think about. IF Haralson had never left Anderson and stayed there he and Mullins would be in the same sectional. Anderson would also likely be top 5 in the state with a shot at being the top team in the state this year.

The year he left Fishers they won a state championship

if Rice, Carlyle, and MM are all gone to the draft, I would venture to guess that IU had a damn good year.

If any 2 of the three come back I would think that would hurt the reputation of Woodys ability to get players to the league, thus hurt the chances of the caliber of players we are going after.

My problem is say we have a really good year and make it to the elite 8. If all of our top players leave then it starting from scratch again. My thinking if you don't win a championship what good is it to keep getting kids for 1 year.

  6. If the Cts this week vs the Bears then the season is pretty much over. In the last 5 years teams who started 0-2 only 2 out of 32 teams made the playoffs. So going 0-3 is pretty much the death nail for the season.

These are the next 5 games at the QB's they will be playing.

    Bears Williams

    Steelers Fields

    Jags Lawrence

    Titans Levis

    Dolphins Backup QB

So it is a not a real tough schedule coming up.

Steichen said he had Sermon (another Ballard swing and miss) in the game on a critical 3rd and 1 “to get Sermon some reps.”  😆

That has to be one of the dumbest comments I have heard. That is smart to get him some reps in the 4th quarter on a crucial 3rd and 1 play. If JT was in there and we ran the option then the edge guy would have to choose who to take. With Sermon in there the edge guy didn't have to worry about the RB.

  8. The good and bad of Colts week 2.

    Good

JT rushing but needed about 10-15 more rushes.

    Pierce

    Bad

    Run defense

Gus Bradley never changing his philosophy. He let an inexperience QB get comfortable and didn't make him beat the Colts but let them run the ball down our throat.

Shane Steichen play calling on the 3rd and 1. Also not having JT in the game in the 4th quarter.
