  1. played sunday at mackie before 15,000+ game at Iowa sold out for IU
  2. I only saw UM play once this year v. some cream puff. Jett Howard can put the ball in the basket. IU is a veteran team and we should be better on the road than we have been. Starters: 1) TJD (3) 2) Thompson (4) 3) Kopp (4) 4) Galloway (2) 5) JHS Rookie Hoping JHS can continue to assert his control on offense and defense.
  3. Well, looking at Kenpom I don't think so. We started out at #9 on defensive efficiency. At one point we were down to 7. But went down to the 40's.
  4. I agree but our defense won't get a lot better until X gets back. Look out then.
  5. JHS has been great this year. He's improved his most glaring weakness beyond the arc. He does need to be more consistent, but he's getting there fast. He is more likely than not to go to the NBA which would be a positive for CMW and the program. But IMHO the stats say that he needs to go to the rim or dish more than pulling up. I'm not saying his shot selection is bad, but just that he needs to tweak it.
  6. From 2/5/23 article from Adam Finkelstein published by PEEGS. He's shooting 42% inside the arc which has a lot more to do with shot selection than finishing. He's shooting 50% at the rim but only 22% of his total shots are from that range. 47.6 of his shots are coming from 2-point jumpers of which he's making 39%. He did have a reputation coming out of HS as a good mid-range scorer, but questionable beyond the arc.
  7. I think three areas we need to improve to beat Rutgers: 1) They get 16.8 points per game off of TOs. We need to be careful with the ball and shot selection to not give them easy points. Looking at you JHS. 2) We need to keep them off the offensive boards. 3) We need to defend without fouling too much.
  8. His mid-range game just not on right now. I think due mainly to shot selection.
  9. Drew Adams now at Cincy as Asst. AD as of fall of last year.
  10. No. Flory is 6"9". Pickett 6'8". The other 2 are much smaller.
  11. 69-46 Final in favor of IU. IU dominated the 2d half. Great game for women's basketball.
  12. at end of 3Q IU 50-Purdue 28. Purdue only got 2 points in the 3Q. Game over.
  13. Half: IU 31- Purdue 36. Holmes has only 2. IU mostly bombing from the 3 point line.
  14. Purdue takes their first lead of the game 15-14.
  15. End of 1st quarter: IU 14-Purdue 10. The pace favors Purdue as IU a high octane offense and Purdue mostly a defensive team. Holmes, IU's AA, has not gotten a shot off so far.
  16. Purdue and IU women about to tip-off. Mackey Arena is sold out. Purdue has beaten OSU and Illini both away in their last 2 games.
  17. TJD just asking Gillis where he can get a good steak dinner in New Castle.
