Yes I agree.  Thought Gard could have realized it wasn't going to produce anything positive, having a discussion with JH, at that point.

The whole thing was a problem BEFORE Krabbenhoft came over.

Then it escalated into a bigger problem.

Then it escalated into a MASSIVE problem when JH threw his hook.

Then it escalated even MORE when the players threw haymakers.

That, imo, was the order of events. Not all parties are at equal fault, but all parties share the blame.

I simply wasnt surprised by anyone's actions, at that point in time, I think both sides are... I don't care for either side. I don't think either side are mature, I don't know how many good people are in each of those programs. 🤷‍♂️.. their actions yesterday seemed to back that up.

Totally agree with everything here.  Let's wait to see if each University and the BIG10 do the right thing........my guess is that they won't.

I've yet to see a situation be "better" because opposing coaches discussed "issues" after a game.

I understand that is the way a lot of coaches handle these things, I wasn't trying to say you were wrong in that instance.

I'm saying, if I was JH THAT mad, I would have been trying to do the exact same thing he was doing by walking by.

He doesn't owe Gard ANYTHING. I think it was stupid for Gard to attempt to talk to him, I think it was infinitely more stupid to try and KEEP talking to him when it was clear nothing was going to be solved.

Now, this is all with the understanding that what JH did is in no way shape or form ok. I'm just not surprised Krabbenhoft got slapped by the way he acted. As in, I've seen that scenario unfold before.

Howard didn't have to lift his mask and say "I'll remember that shit" either -- that's what caused Gard to try to get him to stop so that he could explain why he called the timeout.

What's the over/under on number of times Race and Trace get stuck after a switch out top trying to defend one-on-one against a much quicker player? Virtually every team in the B1G has used this against IU and they never figure out how to stop it.

Part of the reason that this works against us so often is that Trayce does not hustle when it happens and instead just tries to time it so that he can get a block.

Honestly?  Because I thought it was more useful to move this conversation to the IU season thread because the fallout could potentially have an impact beyond this one game.  You didn't have to hunt very hard to find it.  I told you right where it is.

Yes, but I’m old and lazy 😟

I posted something on this on the main basketball page in the IU season thread because I thought it might get lost in an old game thread.  There is new news.

Why don’t you tell us what the new news is instead of making us go search for it?  Since you already posted this here.

Clam down its a figure of speech, i'm not calling Durr a pig.. I'm glad I didnt use you can put whipped cream on a pile of s@$# but its still a pile of S@%#. The point is people saying Race and TJD should leave and not play the years aloud because we have Durr aren't very bright.

    I like clams….:coffee:

I wonder if they will even consider trying to find a replacement team.  UK was able to line up WKU last week after UL cancelled.  No reason why we can't find a team from Indiana or one of the bordering states to come in as a replacement.

Bellarmine had their game for this week cancelled and is supposedly willing to host or travel for a game.  That would be better than nothing.

I still think the injury issues in all sports are at a all time high.  I still think athletes trained to much and to long and their bodies don't have time to recover.  They need more test in the off season and that really is not happening.  Just look at a basketball player where starting at an early age they play and train all summer and travel all over the country playing AAU.

    What kind of test?😁

  9. My thoughts on Armaan's situation:  (with special shout out to Pink Floyd)

Hush now baby, baby, don't you cry
Mama's gonna make all of your nightmares come true
Mama's gonna put all of her fears into you
Mama's gonna keep you right here under her wing
She won't let you fly but she might let you sing
Mama's gonna keep baby cosy and warm

Hush now baby, baby, don't you cry
Mama's gonna check out all your girlfriends for you
Mama won't let anyone dirty get through
Mama's gonna wait up until you get in
Mama will always find out where you've been
Mama's gonna keep baby healthy and clean
    Ooh baby, ooh baby
Ooh baby, you'll always be baby to me
Mother, did it need to be so high?
