  1. Nope just looking on sites and saying that we are warm in terms of recruitment. I will acquiesce to someone with alot more knowledge though on this. Figured I would drege up this thread since we have moved on from 21 although I think there might be a couple more guys that would be possible gets in that class.

  2. I hope not. I hope CAM can land at least one more big in a transfer or recruit. I mean seriously PU can get these 7 footers that become serviceable to monsters year 3 and 4. Wisconsin does the same thing with their bigs. I hope CAM can start to enter into that line of recruiting even though I know he likes fleet footed bigs to run his up tempo offense.

  3. In a twist of events Bob Knight knows he's going against Mike Davis' team so he decides he wants to go golfing early for lack of competition. During the game Knight gets right in Valentine's mustache after a call that even would have made Ray Charles say WTF! Knight uses his favorite word in a litany of different and colorful ways. Gets ejected from not two but three technicals. As Bob Knight is  walking towards the hall he turns and hunts Valentine out. So he walks right in front of him stops and turns his butt to him bows to the crowd and farts right in front of Valentine letting him know exactly how stinky that call was and proceeds to go get his clubs for the links. Because of the three techs Rod Wilmont steps up to the line to take 6 foul shots. After that harrowing display by Knight it shakes Wilmonts confidence in turn leads to Rod Wilmont rifeling all the foul shots off the back iron except one that magically went in. The 72 and 73 Hoosiers dispatch the 04 and 05 teams early in the second half and never look back.

  4. I get that. That's awesome that he doesn't have to do it all but it just seems since he has come off that injury he hasn't been shooting the ball as well and not playing in your face defense like he normally has and enjoying basketball as much. Maybe I'm just reading too much into it. Don't know.

  5. Is it just me or has Oladipo regressed some and lost confidence? It looks like he has lost his swagger! Is he dealing with an injury still or he saw what he needed to do and it has messed with him? I just am not understanding how he is not himself. It's like he doesn't even look that happy out there and have that smirk or grin on his face that he had at the beginning of the year. I am wondering what everyone's take is going on with him.

  6. I agree. Although I will say that the refs really screwed the pooch in the fourth quarter. Like honest blatant fouls like holding on Green everytime Vic tried to drive and no foul called. I do agree though we need to keep the ball moving. The Pacers though aren't getting any respect from the refs this year like other teams are. We had a 17 point lead and was still trying to do the same thing that got us that lead and all of a sudden the foul calls stopped and the Pacers weren't allowed to drive the paint cause of holding and or people trying to strip the ball etc. Now I am not saying that the 23 turnovers aren't what killed them cause it was. Most of those turnovers were unforced which is what was the ultimate doom.

  7. I am just wondering was it me or did Oladipo tonight look almost disengaged in the game against the Heat? I know the Heat keyed in on him and made sure he couldn't drive. I also saw that anytime someone drove on the Heat no fouls were called. It just looked like he was not his usual self tonight and that majorly affected his shooting.

  8. Oladipo is All-NBA Third Team NBA All-Defensive First Team and is a finalist for Most Improved player of the year! Not bad for a team that was supposed to be in the lottery! That's not even mentioning everyone who has slept on him! He is turning heads and waking people up!

That seems like a plausible explanation of what the Pacers went through.  Turner was kinda tagged as the new face of the Pacers when George left, but I think that changed when Vic was acquired and Turner is probably still trying to figure it out.  Vic is very much a leader but I see him as a benevolent leader who realizes the value of Turner and will at some point (if he hasn't already) have a conversation to let Turner know he's wanted and valued. If everyone gets on the same page and they have decent coaching, this group could be a pleasant surprise.

Thank you. You put it in much more eloquent terms. I believe that the Pacers as a whole have bought into the idea of team basketball it is just now they are trying to figure out where they all fit in not to mention getting used to each other still. It is much more a joy to watch the Pacers now vs the iso ball PG era. I also hope OG becomes a huge steal. Just wish the Pacers could have picked him up.

  10. Is it just me or is it that Victor gets fouled alot going to the hoop and never gets a foul call? It seems like Vic isn't getting the love that alot of other players do. I guess I am a homer but seriously there are some blatant fouls that never get called. It also seems like Vic is becoming the alpha and leader of the Pacers. I may be off about this but it seems like some troubles started happening when Turner came back. With Sabonis in there things flow pretty well and with Turner it seems like he is trying to find his place in the pecking order.
