  1. "There's no better place in the nation to play college basketball."
  2. He's got the personality to recruit and connect with people. More importantly is talent evaluation and recruiting the right players. I think he checks this box too.
  3. Maybe you change your name to Seeking6&7. Here we go.
  4. Coach Mike "5v@&ing" Woodson. It's a game of love and passion. I think we are lucky as hell he is our coach.
  5. Coach Woodson gets it. He is not afraid to say he needs others and that it's not all about him.
  6. Well said. Plus, "drunk fat chick" is just..... I don't know.
  7. Greenburg, "You did it to yourself". Zing
  8. Preach on Ol' Blue. The more we see this and say this, the more excitement builds around the program.
  9. We will be in the tournament next year, and we will start making some noise in year two, and will be a top 2 seed in year three. How do I know? I don't, but I feel excited. Knight said that negative thinking leads to success, but I think that this has changed somewhat in our society. Positive thinking is the opiate of the masses. I want me some opium.
  10. I can't take this seriously since it's Google Sheets. Good job, otherwise.😉
  11. Whale hunting makes me think of Moby Dick....we just landed Coach "Woody". There might be something there. I think it is important to practice thinking of the many possible positives moving forward. Picture Coach Woodson on the side lines during the Final Four, and the story lines that come with it. CAM showed us what we were going to be under him, and it was getting harder to do the mental gymnastics to maintain a positive outlook. Coach Woodson will work, if for no other reason because Jeff Goodman said it won't....screw that guy. Woodson is going to make his players love him, love IU, and he won't be ok with people laughing at us. Of all the potential hires who were not born in Indiana and who did not play for Knight, I bet he loves IU more than all of them combine.....I believe this really matters.
  12. Not to speak for Euroclydon, but there are some who go beyond expressing dissatisfaction, and I am interpreting the post as a reference to those who are senselessly bashing in an over-the-top manner.
  13. Outside of the coach of the Celtics, the names being kicked around to be our next coach were not home run hires. Coach Woodson very well may be an inside-the-park homer. Tradition, culture, interpersonal skills, networking, experience in a true pressure cooker environment..... these are things that Coach has. I think Dolson got this right. Yes we would have been over the moon if the other guy was hired, but I am not so sure that Coach Woodson is not a better fit. IU fans live in the past because that's all we got. I think after the year that we have had some of the importance of those "out-dated" ideas that IU basketball was known for just might have a re-awakening. I also think Milehi would approve of this hire and be telling stories about Coach "Woody". This program needed to be mended. IU is and was a blue blood because of how we played the game. I just don't think that Muss, Oats, Drew, or even Beard were going to revive this. Coach Woodson is here, and the future is bright. I got a good feeling about this.
  14. I "liked" but I also understand that this is risk in many people's eyes. Emotional regulation is not a strength of many people on these forums.
  15. Woodson will fix a lot of things wrong with this program. I would think that the administration is not going to be able to micromanage him and that he will rebuild a culture that has been broken both inside and outside the program. This is Mike ****ing Woodson, a well-loved former player and very successful coach in the NBA. Let's start taking the rest of the Big Ten to the Wood Shed.
  16. We need ballers, kids who just do all the little things well. Give me a guy who doesn't have the look of a lottery pick, someone who stays 3-4 years, someone who can flat out play. Trey G seems like this to me. More of these players is what I always thought the state of Indiana was about.
  17. I would go so far to see that he is definitely our best offensive player.........when he is going right.
  18. Clearly Green is not our best player. However, this is true only due to his inconsistency. And not even half good, half bad inconsistency, but 20% good 80% bad. Like UConn several years back, we could beat anyone on any day if Green plays to his potential, just like Kemba Walker. In this regard, Green does have the potential to be our best and most important player. I don't care how Dakich says stuff, or care even if he says stuff. There is a point about how to deal with Green that we have been discussing for several years. Clearly we don't have all the facts, but few see Green as a positive. This is frustrating because we recognize that we need good Devonte to be a really good team. Without him, we might be better, but maybe not enough to make much of a difference. Dan has hurt feelings, which is sign that he loved IU and Knight, and felt rejected. These are the dangers of hitching your wagon to unpredictable people.
