  1. Great points. This is the exact reason why I'm confused how people are disappointed in recruiting these guys over from JMU. CCC took the best, most experienced players from his top 25 team. He knows they're ability and character, and they know HIS system and expectations. I don't know how anyone could honestly be opposed to what they will bring to CCC's first team at IU. I for one am very excited to see what he is building, and guys experienced in his system should expedite the building process. They, along with retaining our best players, and adding transfers, give us a completely different team next season. How can you not be at least a little excited?!
  2. Exactly. It takes time to build relationships in recruiting. I would assume we'll be tilted heavier towards the transfer portal this year than most. Spring transfers will still be huge for Coach Cig's first team. We won't know our full recruiting class for months.
  3. Exactly! Eventually some may start with us as freshmen once we start winning and solidify our brand.
  4. As long as the talent and fit are there, having an elite qb from one of the state's top high school program is ideal. No better way to build the Hoosier brand with top in-state high school players, along with winning, of course.
  5. Could the same thing happen at IU? Rourke>Jackson>Cherry?
  6. Seems pretty physical, and really tracks the ball well and fights for it in the air.
  7. Definitely see the size, speed, and quick cuts. Rondale was an absolute powerhouse; not sure Jaylin has anywhere close to that strength. And I agree Jaylin was underutilized and also used incorrectly. Not sure if he was promised he would be used as a running back, but he's a slot receiver, not Austin Ekeler or Barry Sanders. The times he ran between the tackles were ineffective and hurt Jaylin and the team. He needs a fresh start, whether it's here with new coaches and a new offense, or somewhere else. I wish him success wherever that occurs.
  8. That kid has the frame to put on some serious weight and gain explosiveness. Love how he gets off blocks and pursues.
  9. Sudfeld arm, but from his videos, MUCH more mobile. He's no Josh Allen, but his running stride is similar to Trevor Lawrence. Maybe not quite as fast, but long-strider that gets yards in chunks. Also throws a beautiful deep ball. Great one year acquisition.
  10. I just want a level playing field. How SEC teams are allowed to schedule Mercer and the like in November without being penalized is beyond me. All teams eligible for the playoffs should have to play the same amount of conference games. Having basically an additional bye week towards the end of the season is a competitive advantage.
  11. Great point. That was a pleasant surprise. I figured they would water down their OOC to get as many teams in the playoff as possible. Of course, apparently SEC OOC loses don't count!😂
  12. There are going to be some GREAT match-ups in the SEC next year. Love the Big 2 conferences going away from divisions. But the SEC HAS to start playing 9 conferences games like the big boys and stop the Mercer/Fuhrman/Maine crap late in the season.
  13. He and McCulley were my top two. Bostad also knows who fits and buys in to what coach wants to do. Smith has one full season of starts and 3 years of eligibility at one of the most important offensive positions. LOVE the emphasis of his recommitment video. Welcome back Carter!!
  14. The kid is a winner and leader. Listened to his interview after winning the state title and he exuded gratitude and pride in his program's tradition and success. He moves well in the pocket, gets rid of the ball quickly, and threw accurately on the run. Excited to see how he develops.
  15. Completely took the air out of the IU fans. 4-6 point and momentum swing. Then we just quit at the end. Are the players sick or something?
  16. Sea of red here. People are still trickling in, but BIG Hoosier advantage!
  17. Great analogy. Coach has traits that tend to carry-over. Plus, he learned "the process" from Saban, and those coaches that apply it seem to have been pretty successful.
  18. Someone needs to convince Lucas he is a slot receiver at the next level. No need to take the pounding of a running back and shortening your career unnecessarily. Jmo
  19. Agree. And contrary to what Laphonso Ellis mentioned once every 30 seconds against Maryland, he is NOT an easy target on defense. Gabe anticipates well, is stronger than he appears, and doesn't back down from anyone. He's gonna be a fan favorite.
  20. Gabe moves his feet very well, and has nice lateral movement. The last foul was all ball, but I guess on the road, they'll always call swiping down at the ball, even if it's clean.
  21. Excited to take my son to his first college game. Hope the Hoosiers continue to grow as a team and get confident shooting.
  22. I just love that term. These kids will now be more grateful for their offer from THIS staff, instead of feeling complacent or connected to the former staff. (MY guys vs. his guys)
  23. McCord was the worst starting OSU qb in recent memory. Any of their qb's of the past 15-20 years probably wins a national title with this team.
  24. Or you could have your entire conference play one less conference game to decrease loses for 50% of your teams...oh wait. (SEC)
