  1. The graph I am showing isn't all of 2A. They are 31 teams (2A has 63 schools)... in the Northern half of the state.
  2. So... they will draw the 8 teams in order, yotta yotta. Some years the "top" team in the bracket will be home, some times the bottom team will be. But then in round 2 it would be determined by who wasn't the home team the prior round.... if both teams were home or both teams were away (in round 2)... the top/bottom (whichever they determine is the tiebreaker that year)... will be the home team for that round. That process repeats itself for each round. Hope that makes some sort of sense.
  3. Unfortunately, I highly doubt we will ever get one. The biggest thing for me is... why are we setting precedent AND making it longer drives? Ya know? It's strange. Our sectional isn't anymore difficult we got away from Lawrenceburg, who is turning out talent at an alarming rate.
  4. The drives are immensely shorter to somewhat shorter if they classified them the way they should have been. For everyone involved. How pissed would you be if you had to work until 5pm on Fri, lets say on the northside of Indy... and had to make it to Pekin by 7pm for your kids game. lol
  5. those interstates aren't relevant for the discussion of the "2A South sectionals" being horribly drawn, or what am I missing? And yeah... I literally cropped out the top 1/3 of the state to be able to be able to make a more readable graph.
  6. sorry.. 64 should be a little further south lol

  8. Gabe Bierman would seemingly be getting a call to Double A soon, as well. In two years at the single A level... he has thrown 38IP 2.84ERA
  9. Shew.. here we go... 🤣🤣 But I am in favor of essentially not calling traveling, palming... unless it's egregious, which imo is what they do now. 🤷‍♂️ I just don't think officials are very good at calling it, so I prefer "less is more" type thing, rather then them calling "travels" that aren't travels.
  10. was recently promoted to Double A
  11. It blows my mind. Good on you man.
  12. How could you make that work with a 9 day notice? Too much planning for the unknown host school. You could do it for regional or semi state, which I'm in favor of trying, not for sectionals though. Basketball is all hosted at the same site, which isn't possible for football.
  13. Our HC has already done that. These sectionals set weird precedent. I'm at least glad you can look at this and be confused like me lol
  14. Was bored today-- heres the map of the way it is now.... the second graph is the way it should be. This is the entire south, yesterday I just showed three of the four sectionals. It literally shrinks everyone's drive in each of their sectionals in the southern half of the state. It also stays in a much more historical version of they way these sectionals have been drawn before. And just to show you the most extreme cases that would effect.... Switz Co, Pekin, and Clarksville would all have 85 mile+ drives to get to Scecnia, Christel, or Triton.... instead at most, one school would have ONE drive of 85 miles+... and that is Switz Co vs. Crawford Co. Again, schools in the corner of the state... that is simply going to happen at times. Idk how you can look at that first map and try to comprehend it. They have created so many 1.5hrs+ drives when they weren't needed at all. But again, no checks and balances... they won't explain themselves. Smh.
  15. You gotta beat them regardless. Heck with it.
  16. Ok, but it isn't. It might be easier to scout, its NOT easier to defend.
  17. That's a different discussion though. I enjoyed the 90s game more too, I don't think that equates to more skill though. I can't actually believe I am seeing you tell me you liked the Lakers and disliked the Cs. I would have bet whatever amount of money it was the other way around lol Just understand those Laker and Cs teams were some of the greatest teams ever, hard to compare any team of any era to those guys imo.
  18. They were better teams, probably. Actually... I think for sure they were. The players, as whole, weren't as skilled. Multiple guys with the ability to do multiple things was not a common theme of the 80s or 90s. Hell they don't even outlet pass in the NBA anymore.
  19. Basketball and football have gotten so much better in the last 15 years it is incredible.
  20. There is simply no way shape or form you could have watched basketball in the 90s or early 2000s and think what we see now is less skilled. There has never been more skill in basketball. Not one dimensional guys like Reggie Miller, Dale Davis, etc. Reggie Miller is also my favorite all time basketball player, but that dude had one skill. (outside of pissing the other team off).
