2024 PG Daquan Davis Commits to Florida State
btownqb replied to Hoosierfan1901's topic in Basketball Recruiting
@kyhoosier29 I understand what you're saying in that recruiting should be more ethical, I just don't think we can afford to "be the nice guys".. just how I see it. -
Here's my question for Woodson and staff... Why wouldn't we play some 2-3 zone with our starting lineup? That group seems to be tailored to play a zone well. 3 young defenders, two guards that cover ground, and immense length from your front court. Just an opinion.

Why would I tell my boss that Indiana doesn't need to be morally superior in recruiting? I doubt he cares. -

I assumed we were suppose to discuss on a message board? My bad. -

Yes. Ethics and morals were thrown out the door a long time ago in recruiting. And Indiana didn't start the trend, but we gain nothing by being "morally superior". -

Commitments mean nothing unless you've signed a paper, literally. Continue to recruit anyone we think we have a chance with or might decommit, or might transfer, or might have a coach fired. Etc. Recruit them all. They do it to us, and we should be no different. -

Why? This is Providences fault. We just might reap the rewards. -

I hope we called the kid and said "why the hell are you going to Providence?" -

But why? I hope we recruit anyone we want until they sign on the dotted line. -

Any chance... he reclassifies and comes at semester? We gotta scholly. -
Yeah, I just.. I don't even have words for the stupidity. I mean.. play the game at 11AM. You'd have a huge audience then. Not even a European NFL game this week.

I thought our listed sizes were interesting... Kel'el was listed at 7ft 210lbs last season. 7ft 242lbs... K Banks was 6'7 215 last year.. 6'8 220 this year. We also have 3 guys listed at 6'8 and between 215-220lbs. Walker, Banks, and MM. I like that.

Can't understand the start time at all. I guess let me know how it goes. Annoying

I never mentioned a single thing about a cop. I don't really have an issue with anything they did. But to the bold... why should I care? He isn't my player, he isn't my kid, he isn't my student. I'm a fan, my role in this program is to be a fan. So... again... why should I care?

Izzo had players raping women. That's hard to compare to an argument with a T Bell worker. I've never really witnessed anything you're mentioning, but aren't fans supposed to be, you know, biased?
-
Who? when?

But will our fanbase ever stop "jumping the gun" on this stuff? They've have blown the Fife situation out of proportion, the XJ situation, and now this one. MM didn't deserve a suspension, that's why he wasn't suspended.

DT headed to the Cape next summer.

Watford isn't a small dude either. 6'9 235 OG is a horse too.

Respectively, I didn't understand the big deal the entire time. We aren't their coach, we aren't their parents... we are fans of the basketball team they play for. Nothing more.
