  1. I think that is one of many factors. The atmosphere, climate, and culture of IU basketball are all changing before our eyes. When that happens new things can grow and develop.
  2. Bates on Woodson and staff: “Past his own decorated personal achievements and accolades, he just stressed how important it was that he make me better as a man," said Bates. "Me and my family felt that being around him and the staff that he’s put together that they would be able to continue to build my mental capacity and just help me grow as a young man. I’m going to be with them for a pretty important portion of my life and that was the one thing that was really important to us, being around a group of men that are going to build me and have my best interests first.” https://247sports.com/Article/Mike-Woodson-and-Indiana-land-coveted-guard-Tamar-Bates-164379494/
  3. This was in recruiting forum for a little over a week. Had a really good feeling about this one.
  4. Groves brothers to Oklahoma to play for Moser. I enjoyed watching them in the tourney.
  5. Nice Q&A with Kaleb Banks. Sounds like he really likes Coach Rosemond. https://www.insidethehall.com/2021/04/17/q-a-class-of-2022-four-star-forward-kaleb-banks-discusses-iu-offer/
  6. A little bit about Clowney. Sounds very intriguing. https://indiana.rivals.com/news/shaw-s-takeaways-on-the-radar-sweet-16
  7. I could see it becoming a race to get in so to speak. With the expansion of connections there may be an abundance of candidates for a limited number of spots. Could make for an interesting recruiting season as you say. Fun stuff and a nice potential change.
  8. Jerry Meyer on Bates: First of all, Tamar Bates is a highly intriguing prospect to me. I don’t know if he will end up a five-star in the 2021 247Sports Composite, but I think he will at least end up close. He is a serious competitor who plays with a mental and physical edge. His instincts and burst of athleticism make him a dangerous defender and with his length he will be a versatile defender. Offensively, he seeks out and attacks his shot from deep. Bates can also attack either direction and can change direction on the spot. There is a jagged wiggle to his game and also an ability to score through contact despite his slender frame. His recruitment is still much in flux. Shaka Smart, who had signed Bates at Texas, is in a scholarship bind at Marquette. I have heard Oklahoma State and Missouri floating around. But again, I get the feeling that his recruitment is a good distance from settled.
  9. Going solely on a gut feeling I believe that we do. I could genuinely see it happening. "We are looking for adults that we can trust to be more concerned with Tamar’s continued character development rather his basketball skill development," Bates' father Tyrone told TheHoosier.com. "Opportunity to be able to compete for significant minutes that allow him to play right away." And Jerry Meyer says this: His recruitment is still much in flux. Shaka Smart, who had signed Bates at Texas, is in a scholarship bind at Marquette. I have heard Oklahoma State and Missouri floating around. But again, I get the feeling that his recruitment is a good distance from settled.
  10. Committed transfers ranked in this article. X Johnson #8 https://247sports.com/LongFormArticle/College-basketball-best-committed-transfer-rankings-Walker-Kessler-Xavier-Johnson-164201561/
  11. Anyone have much info on Chandler Jackson? Heard his name a few times today in relation to IU.
  12. Right. They reached out the number of times that reflect their number of teeth.
