Man, I remember being so excited about Recker, that whole few years seemed to wreck us between him, Reed, Collier, etc etc etc. Often I’ve wondered if Coach had bent a tad bit, what could he have accomplished. In hindsight we’ve bent so much in every aspect of life, maybe digging in your heels is the proper move. Who knows

This is so true, I turned off a few games sadly, and was sitting there watching the tube and realized we had a game only to turn it off shortly after tuning in.

Obviously upsets to 14 seeds aren’t a regular thing, that’s why they’re upsets, can we just agree Painter is a solid coach, probably wishes he wears Red, and he may get you guys a final 4, should be solid - your recruiting has picked up. But you couldn’t get there with the Big Dog so I’m not too worried .

Purdue is a fine school with a touch of history, if they weren’t instate rivals I believe just about any real Indiana youngster could get behind them. They defend well ( sound familiar ) and well, that’s it, they play good D. Keady was very similar to Coach Knight without the wit and ass kicking record when it counts. Yea, Purdue is ok, so is round steak, I’d prefer a New York strip.

Damn shame that team had such luck, Gordon was a hell of a player, with a bum wrist. And DJ, bums me out.
