Ok, so then you referencing those ppl saying that.. meant what?

I referenced people saying Miller and Stewart shouldn't have been starting last year.

My bad, my post should have said Miller and Stewart, not Race.

So.. Woodson purposes doesn't play certain players to hinder the performance of our team? Thats what you've insinuated.

Nope. How many people stated last year that Race and Stewart shouldn't have been starting but Woody kept starting them. He starts guys with experience, which he has said.

Miller played poorly because he had 0 rebs and 1 assist. Race had 8 rebounds and 3 blocks, and played poorly, as well, your words.

Which is it? How can they both have played poorly using the same criteria?

The bold is pretty false. Race had big time mins cut as early as this evening, and he wasn't awful this evening. Seems clear if he isn't on the top of his game, MR is playing ahead of him.

Clearly didn't read what I said. Race ISN'T in danger of losing his starting spot because Woody isn't gonna bench him. Woody likes to start experienced guys, no matter how bad. And if 2-8 from the floor is good, then I don't know what to tell you for a guy who came here as a SHOOTER.

  4. I try not to be too negative. But I don't understand why Kopp gets a pass? He's supposed to be a 3 point shooter and he was 1-4 and 2-8 from the field. That's not good. If he isn't hitting shots, he's unplayable. He had 0 boards and I think 1 assist. I get it that Woody likes to start seniors and guys who have experience but gosh, I find it hard to believe that Reneau or someone else couldn't be better.

Reneau showed a lot of confidence tonight. He looked like our second best big on this roster. Race keeps playing like he did tonight, and he might find himself coming off the bench. But Woody wouldn't do that. So he pretty much knows he's safe no matter what. It was a solid win on the road but IU has a lot to work on like most teams in the country still do. I expect a ton of wins this year. But we'll have to be much better on the road in the B1G.

Are you saying you would welcome ARE as the HC?  He is currently the WR coach for the Lions I think.  It would make sense to bring him over here in some kind of capacity (for the reasons you mentioned), but as HC??  To my knowledge he has never been a coordinator let alone a head coach.  I think most people would have a lot of concerns with that one.  Yes?  No?

Who cares? He's a former NFL player. And if he's currently a coach in the NFL, that's huge. He knows what it takes to get to the NFL. And he's an IU guy. Experience isn't a big deal to me. He knows football. He's been in the game for most of his life. I'd take him in a heartbeat if he really wanted the job.

It's also very odd, and unexpected for a d-linemen, for a QB to randomly take a knee in the middle of a scramble.

They were trying to touch him down because he also took the knee very awkwardly.

That's very true. Curious to know if that was planned or not. I thought it was odd that they dropped back to pass there. Most teams run the ball to make the Eagles use their last timeout. Definitely odd.

Yeah, it was early in the 4th and the Commandars did like a WR sweep and with both feet still 100% in bounds the Eagles hit the runner and they called a late hit.

I just think the last call was kind of weak. Graham hit him, bit he was trying to hold up and was trying to just get two hands on him. He didn't hit him in the head or anything.

To me, that should have been like a ref swallowing his whistle late in the 4th of a playoff basketball game.

I initially didn't think he was gonna throw the flag. He waited and then Heinicke looked up at him and then he threw the flag. It sucks for sure. I wouldn't have cared if he didn't throw the flag at all. I'd be saying otherwise it was my team though lol.

Graham clearly tried to hold up. Letter of the law i guess the right call, but it was pretty weak.

How about the late hit in the early 4th when the Commanders receiver was clearly, 100% still in bounds?

I didn't see the late hit. I didn't turn it on until about midway through the 4th. I saw a few missed calls for sure. That facemask was obvious and should have been called. The late hit was called correctly imo. Tough way to lose but they come to Indy next week where they'll likely win.

The Eagles have gotten absolutely hosed in this game by the refs. Just ridiculous. Two bad personal foul calls and then a clearly missed face mask not called on the Commanders that resulted in a turnover.

Sure the missed facemask should have been called. But the late hit on Heinicke is definitely a penalty. His knee was down for a good 5 seconds before he's hit. Good call.
