  1. It does not surprise me that the ones Coach Woodson talked into transferring to IU will get the start. He did recruit them into the program and last year's talent did not light the world on fire. Just a thought. I am glad we have some cupcakes to determine which parts work the best together. I expect the lineup tomorrow will not be the lineup in March.
  2. I think I read that he has been to a practice and spoke to the team.
  3. I think it was a ton more than we averaged last year! Go Hoosiers!
  4. I would love Oregon, USC, UCLA, And Washington. B10 west division.
  5. If I remember right, didn't one of them have a fixed turret gun which led to it's downfall? It has been over 30 years since I had a US history class. If so, then it was the opposite of Archie's issue. He could not fix shooting. JK Go Hoosiers!
  6. Was not one to throw a coach under the bus. I felt Archie never was fully allowed to bring his guys in at the start because of Crean’s turnover problem and then tried to piece together teams. We never seemed to have a complete team for any system. I am happy for the change now and the direction of the team. However, I do not think Archie needs to tell me he was glad for the opportunity. As for if he will end up at a P5 school, I think yes if he wants it.
  7. 7ft unicorn guard/center. He is very skilled and going to the zags
  8. If I was a betting man, I would bet Brooks does not enter the portal. I think they like the attention. I could be wrong. Cal really is not a player developer. If you were ranked higher than 16 out of high school chances are you are going to transfer and not be a OAD. However, I still don’t see him leaving.
  9. Leach played a big part of the Oklahoma win in the final four. Had three or four huge blocks that impacted how the sooners shot during the first half. Also had a huge dunk and was fouled hard before he had another. He really saved the game. You can watch the whole game on Youtube. Leach and Newton also make some awesome BBQ.Go Hoosiers!
  10. I am fine if they come back if the new coach wants them. I am also ok if they go. Franklin , Race, and Lander are good players. I would not be surprised if the guards don’t end up at UL. I love Race and felt he was the hardest working player. However, I don’t know the new coach or his system. The players don’t either which is why they are in the portal. I do know most offenses are 3pt driven and only Franklin was over 40%. I think Lander was the only point guard we had last year and he rarely saw the floor. I also don’t think last year’s roster complimented each other well. No outside shooting which meant teams packed it in or went under screens. Next year would be more of the same. Missed wide open threes.
  11. It is generally thought that they are going to pass a one transfer waiver this year. If that happens and we get a coach in a major conference, he could possibly bring a few players from that team....... Unless it is Brad Stevens..... the Celtics are not coming.
  12. Wrote this in another thread. Last year we were 12 - 15. I am fine with them going. It may be a better fit. The new coach may bring in half of his team. Everyone gets a free transfer this year. New coach will bring players without a doubt.
  13. Next year will see a lot of Transfers for all teams. This may actually work in the new coaches favor. He will hit the transfer market hard and get to make a roster that he likes. I would welcome Race and Armaan back with open arms. They represented the school well. However, I completely understand them testing the waters and if they decide to go then a transfer will probably be available to replace them. No one on the roster has a winning record in the B10 and they share those losses with their coach. I saw no one on last year's team who was irreplaceable.
  14. Rob has triple the possessions so that skews numbers. Lander’s possessions have come against slower competition which may also skews numbers.
  15. I am sure you numbers guys already know of this site. I do not know how it is calculated. It is free. Has IU at 25th behind Stanford(I think the Texas blowout skews the number a bit). Breaks down individual and I believe combos maybe. https://evanmiya.com/
  16. “I was worried about losing until I looked down the floor and saw Dale Brown. Then I knew we had a chance.” Add Knight: Of Brown’s coaching, he said: “To paraphrase Churchill, probably never has so little been done with so much.” Bob Knight
  17. Maybe, But these kids like exposure to market their brand. If this school promises to play in an LA tournament, a Florida tournament, and an east coast tournament it helps to sell him (and it is exciting). It also could be dad or mom gets a better job. I don't know. Just offered a possible reason. Go Hoosiers!
  18. I think that is exactly what it means. These prep schools travel across the country to play in showcase tournaments which gives the athletes exposure. It is like an extended AAU season.
  19. Yes, so will the Indiana players. I did not say they would not make national money, just that the national money will be a wash. Indiana may even gain ground because now they have Adidas money. However, not every player will make the same money and the second tier players will use the regional markets for a larger percentage of their take home. I believe the original poster made a comment that Duke and UK will have a huge advantage over IU in NIL. I was just saying I felt that IU would be fine, because the national money would be about even and we have a great regional market which Kentucky lacks. I am not trying to argue, just trying to explain myself better. Go Hoosiers!
  20. But that is not Kentucky per say that is generating the money. Those guys would garner that attention (no matter which school ) because of their rating and exposure before reaching Kentucky. They gained that exposure on the AAU Nike or adidas circuit. Major Universities will have people already set up to help them gain from their likeness. Each Major University will be able to say this shoe company will use your likeness. This is why I said the national market is a wash. Will the national market play a roll? Yes, but the separation between Kentucky and Indiana is not as great as some think. It may even help Indiana, because now we can use Adidas money that was before forbidden. Money many think Duke and Kentucky have been using behind the NCAA's back. Now every major program has excess. The top tier guys will make that money wherever they end up and Kentucky, Duke, and Kansas no longer have control of all the money. Just my thoughts. Go Hoosiers!
  21. I would not think that Kentucky would be able to match Indiana in NIL money. Louisville is their major market for adds and they share it. Coal money from the coalfield area is drying up. I think a lot of money for NIL will come from regional markets. I bet the national markets will be fairly even for the big boys. Also Kentucky as a state has about half the population of Indiana.
  22. Then there is a good chance I know you, since I have known him since we were young.
