As of right now I think Sisley goes to Purdue while Mullens and Moreno go to IU. That said there's still time for things to play out.

I hate to hear that on Sisley. I always assumed with some family ties and his location he’d be a strong IU lean…

Most points you have personally witnessed a player score ?

In person in a high school games…I watched Brody Boyd drop 44 on Clay City one year….i once dropped 49 in a competitive adult rec league lol

along this note, was anyone in here a big time player in HS?

Myself I was a 3 year starter for Clay City. 3 time All conference…avg 17 my senior year. I had some D-II offers, but didn’t go play college, chose to stay close to home.

That is the kind of play I was expecting from Cupps. I feel he has been holding back his scoring attempts a little for fear of missing and thinking too much. JMO

What i've noticed is Cupps as a catch and shoot guy is a very good shooter...when he struggles still is on the move.  When he comes of a ball screen and goes into a pull-up shot he often fades as he shoots to the side...some of it is game speed that I never had I am sure, but he seems to be floating to the side quite a bit.  On catch and shoot plays he has been pretty good. His mechanics are great, its just a matter of him controlling his body, in my humble opinion.

I had almost a front row seat to that shot. Mullins can play and is an IU lean but he’s not in a hurry to make a decision from what I heard tonight and a visit to IU in the near future is very likely.

If Woodson pulls of him, Sisley, and Haralson….(all early and no eggs counted)…that’s is a class that could change the trajectory of the program…Indiana Kids and two of them are probably 3 or 4 year animals that could make some noise in the Big Ten!

Maybe? But who this recruitment who knows, everything appears to be tight lipped from what I’ve read

I keep thinking he is ready to pull the trigger to stay home with Maryland....then he hears more from IU, and honestly watches how IU has helped Malik develop...and he is thinking man IU has had such great development with bigs... first TJD, now Malik, is Maryland really the right choice.....(this is my totally IU colored glasses view) lol

IF they get quality minutes from their guards, they are pretty tough to beat.  In the Linton game their guards got on their heels, and Linton was physical with them....In the Barr-Reeve game, they played tough and came away with a victory...I'd love to see them make a run come Sectional time!

  7. A nice 1A school to take a look at is my alma-mater, Clay City.  The Eels are off to a 5-1 start, the lone loss being to Linton. (The played very poorly that game, and Linton is a pretty good squad led by the Oliver kid, and a nice group of Soph)  Clay City has wins over previously ranked 1A number 1 Bloomfield, and they took down Barr-Reeve.

Clay City is ranked #4 in 1A, led by a nice group of Juniors. Ethan Edwards has been on a tear to start the year. Very active on the glass and blocks a lot of shots for them.

Our perimeter defense will need to be much better. IU made six threes against Auburn, a season high, and was outscored by 24 from three.

We do need to do better, but I also think Auburn shot out of their minds.....I mean when their coach is quoted saying, "Hey take it easy on IU because we couldn't have played any better than we did"....I mean I want us to show more fight and resolve too, but I think we just ran into a buzzsaw, maybe even had some guys overlooking that game with the anticipation of the ruckus environment that the Hall will be Saturday!

If the NIL part isn’t about negotiating a better deal and comparing and contrasting that part of the equation, then CBB is WAY different than college football.

I follow CFB closely in recruiting and it is VERY common knowledge that many to most of the kids factor the NIL as a major part of their decision process and it absolutely is a huge advantage or disadvantage for a school that’s similar but doesn’t offer at least close to the same money.

and there’s many examples right now in CFB where kids are going to clearly worse situations because those schools are willing to over pay for them.

The state of Missouri has passed a bill allowing the home schools (basically Missouri), to give the money before they even actually sign in signing day. The kids can merely complete any paperwork for the school that shows intent to attend such home state school, and they can cash in on the money while in HS. This bill has given Missouri a big leg up on a couple players because they suck but they have a lot of money to spend.

Point us, “Show me the Money,” is now a reality and important.

Makes sense that the "Show Me State" would be the first to show the kids the money as early as possible...
