I logged into Peacock and I see the game under live and upcoming, so I am not seeing any issues.

I got a Black Friday deal of Peacock Premium for a year for $20.  I got it specifically for the IU games.

I’ll be curious if they retain any of the directors for football.  I personally am a big fan of Pechac.

Agreed.  Someone noted here or the other site that he would be doing this anyways if he was already here a year and IU was going to a bowl.  We want him recruiting and planning for a bowl in the coming years so why not do it now.  I get why some will think it’s not ideal but this is the goal for the future.

Next question is what will his staff look like?  How many coaches come with him to IU and who does he bring in from outside JMU.

I think a lot of Hoosier fans are looking at this incorrectly.  If we're going realistic, even if Bear Bryant was head coach, with Nick Saban and Bobby Bowden as assistants, IU is not going to be hanging out in the college football playoff. 

If, and it's a big IF, we stumble across a coach that gets us to 9-3 in a couple of years, that coach is not going to be at IU the following season.  Just not going to happen. And, then IU is right back trying to find a new coach, and with player free agency, a potentially massive rebuild. And, then if that rebuild is successful, we go through it all over again.

The one exception to that rule would be someone with deep ties to the university.

If you're lucky enough to catch lightning in a bottle once, don't set it up so that you have to try it again 5 years later.  

Get the guy who is going to hang around 15-20 years.  That's how you build a program.  Consistent bowl trips.  A string of 7-5 years for IU is better than a random 9-3 followed by a string of 5-7 and 4-8 seasons.  You get those patterns when you keep changing coaches.

I don’t think any realistic fan expects IU on the playoffs.  I would settle for three years in a row of 500 or above football and best case scenario a top 25 team at the end of a season once or twice.  I would personally be ecstatic with that.

I support this statement.  Also assume you’re always being recorded.  Found out an employee was recording all Zoom calls we had with a shadow app.  Did not matter to me as I always assume the worst but that person used their recordings to try and sue after they were fired.

Also I do meetings still in person for hard and real conversations.  Digital trail is a real thing for sure.

Looking at this list, if it is the list, I probably would prefer Candle.

I know I crapped on the Candle pick earlier but that was more because I wanted an experienced P5 head coach.  I’m just not sure Chryst is the right guy being the only P5 coach on that list.  I will say Frye and Hart would have a solid idea of what they are walking into at IU and that has to help their chances somewhat.

I loved watching him break down film with draft picks on ESPN, it was amazing to see his mind work and how he critiqued each player.

All I know is with that list I am going to flip flop and say I would want Candle 😂

Well this list isn’t exactly what I was hoping.  As someone noted on BTB this could be a sign that the are still going on the cheap for salary, ugh.  Hope that isn’t the case and others pop up or this list is incomplete.
