I've always been hot or cold with Rory. Mostly because in some ways his tournament management always leaves me ticked. He's so good yet always has a day or stretch where he loses the whole thing when he didn't need to take the chances. Similar to Phil.

Watching him yesterday make that charge was just awesome to see and his reaction on 18 to his chip in along with Morikawa's was awesome. More of that Rory please!

Monday after the Masters is always a tad depressing knowing we have to wait another year.

I've always had an affinity for Rory. The start to his professional career was probably as meteoric as anyone since Tiger and he has definitely taken his lumps between now and then. Always thought that he has handled himself so well on the course even when he is struggling.

A former college teammate of mine was working down at Doral and had an interaction with Rory on the range. Told me he was the nicest and most humble guy you will ever meet on tour. Really rooting for him to have a good year.

I don’t disagree haha. Texas legitimately didn’t have a post guy and took jumpers all day long. Shit we fouled them on a 3 late!

You can spin that narrative all you want but the fact is that both teams scored 28 points in the paint. Did Texas take some bad, poorly timed jumpers? Yes. But that doesn't mean that they weren't also getting in the paint. Marcus Carr was getting to any spot on the floor he wanted. 46-12 free throw discrepancy, regardless of the style of play, should never happen.

Same. I am honestly more nervous about this than I am Wisconsin. I know we can beat them.

Because of Wisconsin's meltdown yesterday, if we win on Thursday, we now play Illinois. Would have much preferred to play the Badgers. Especially if Davis isn't going to be able to go.

I think Garza's big challenge, like you initially stated, is the lateral quickness and finding someone he can guard.

TJD's athleticism gives him an advantage over Luka on the defensive end, but boy would I like to see HIM stepping out and hitting 3s at a 36% clip...

Agreed. Would bring an entirely new dimension to our offense if TJD was able to stretch the floor in that way. It would give our guards (particularly Lander) a ton space to penetrate the lane and kick for open shots.

Garza will not succeed in the NBA unless he develops some sort of jump shot and or 3pt shot at a min and improving his mobility.

In todays game, you need to be able to step away from the rim or near the rim to be relative

While I agree with you about needing to improve on his mobility, Garza was a more than capable 3pt shooter last year.

Shooting something like 37% from beyond the arc coupled with being as dominant as he is down low makes for a tough player to guard.
