It’s a heavy burden to bear, but I accept this.
You left the damn bases loaded in the first. Smh.

I’ll be the guy about 25 rows behind home plate in the Craig Biggio jersey. Will do my best to bring the Reds a victory.
If they lose, all blame goes to you.

Guess I should have read your question below the picture before I sat there for two minutes trying to figure out the significance of that license plate number.
8-U-R-Y-5-6-2 is one of the most well-known, absolutely classic, alphanumeric combinations in the state of Montana.

Very cool that you got to do the tour. Can you help bring the Reds a victory tonight? Such a disappointing season.

Had an event tonight in Great America for the conference. As a baseball fan, it was pretty awesome. Tossed a few pitches in the bullpen (lit the gun for 70. Not really. Hit 55…hoping my arm doesn’t fall off tomorrow!!!). Other than that it was the standard tour stuff. Open access to both dugouts. They recently put in this over-sized pinballesque baseball game based on the old baseball pinball games. It was pretty epic!!!!!
Heading to the game tomorrow night!!
Hey, there are always teams looking to sign a soft-tossing lefty for the bullpen.

That's a double
I watched every angle shown in the story multiple times, and I se HR every time. That said, the left fielder threw his arms up in the universal sign of a ground rule double. If he did that intentionally to mislead, that's impressive thinking.
I'm going to say double, despite what my eyes see and chalk it up to an optical illusion.

Brooklyn fan attacking umpire after a game in 1940. The umpire missed a call that allowed the Reds to beat the Dodgers.
Now we know why Angel Hernandez was not umpiring in 1940.

THIS is how football was meant to be played. A must for bus trips to road games back in the early 1980's, regardless of sport.

Home Run or Ground Rule Double?
The decision determines which team advances in state tournament.

And that's fine. Again, totally not against it. I just typically use probability. As it stands now, I think we have our team.
I think the staff would be out of their minds to completely cease all pursuit to fill the last one, whether that be a starter, role player, or bench guy.
I give it 80% 13th is empty, 18% end of bench guy, <2% role player, <.1% starter.

60% - Stays empty
25% end of bench
14% role player
1% starter
But it all depends on a ton of factors we don't know (how much NIL we have, how good are the players left and what our competition is for those players).
Math!

I’d play schools with guys that we might want to target…get them in the Hall…little friendly recruiting handshake and compliments…it’s like a free official visit.
That could work until the boo-birds come out when we only beat a team by 6 that the crowd thinks we should be by 30.

A local perspective. Rick Bozich's column today. The 'Romines' referenced in the sections of the article I quoted is Scheffler's attorney.

A blonde teenager, wanting to earn some extra money for the summer, decided to hire herself out as a "handy-woman"She started canvassing a nearby well-to-do neighborhood. She went to the front door of the first house, and asked the owner if he had any odd jobs for her to do."Well, I guess I could use somebody to paint my porch," he said, "How much will you charge me?"Delighted, the girl quickly responded, "How about $50?"The man agreed and told her that the paint brushes and everything she would need was in the garage. The man's wife, hearing the conversation said to her husband, "Does she realize that our porch goes ALL the way around the house?"He responded, "That's a bit cynical, isn't it?"The wife replied, "You're right. I guess I'm starting to believe all those dumb blonde jokes we've been getting by email lately."Later that day, the blonde teenager came to the door to collect her money."You're finished already?" the startled husband asked."Yes, she replied, and I even had paint left over, so I gave it two coats."Impressed, the man reached into his pocket for the $50.00 and handed it to her along with a $10.00 tip.“And, by the way," the teenager added, "it's not a Porch, it's a Lexus."

Things happen and while in the middle of it things seem much larger. Hopefully for the Ville this will be old news by next week.
I think the owner of Valhalla driving Scottie to the course was a nice gesture. I wouldn't want to be one of the LPD guys involved...although I will say this. Rules are rules....but as I understand things the arresting officer wasn't aware of the lane for the players/media so it just escalated.
And, if what you mentioned in the last paragraph is true, that the officer was not informed of the rule, that's on the LMPD. The officer that directed him to that lane was aware, so their was a communication breakdown among the police ranks.
It wont be front page news next week, but it will be a factor when negotiating to bring future high profile events to the city.
Yes, it 'could' happen anywhere, but the fact is it didn't/hasn't. It happened in Louisville and the economic backlash will ultimately be felt.
