Yeah. On campus visit. The only one I can remember for sure visiting was Ledlum. There was a lot a buzz about him coming in but after he visited, things went silent.

I’m afraid the best case scenario for this decommitment is also a double edged sword. Best case - Liam was told that Mgbako is coming back. BUT that’d mean MM will be playing the 3 again and Woody will be on the hunt for another starter at the 5 in the portal.

This. My question is what is considered success? Once upon a time Davis was fired for missing the tournament. Crean was fired for missing the tournament (after a B1G title). Would squeaking into the tournament next year (Woody’s 4th year!) now be considered success? Has the bar been lowered that much? I really hope Dolson and co made this decision thinking Woody can really turn things around, rather than trying to be ‘fair’.

I was saying in the game thread how I like the line up with Ware as the only big. Below is a film session clip; the play at 1.30 was one I kept thinking about after the game. XJ was hard hedged - passes to who Ware flashed to the nail - and then Ware hit a cutting Walker on the baseline for a layup. Minny kept getting burned every time they hard hedged, and to my recollection, they were doing that when we were playing 3 guards and walker or MM were at the 4. Look how much it opens up the floor. The spacing was better overall on Wednesday, but it was even better when Malik was not on the floor.

Since a lot of it was coming from the other board, I'm guessing it was the same sources that said we had Stevens in the bag and Billy Donovan was house shopping in Bloomington. BTB is the wild west. I appreciate Chris sharing info he is hearing, and to his credit he does try to caveat the info he's sharing, but many on that board take it like it's the gospel - speculation is echo'd so much that it eventually becomes perceived as fact....and then conclusions are made based on those false facts. Everything is whipped up into a frenzy over there....and it happens quickly.

I'm basing it all on my gut feeling, but I don't know why this would be the case. Cupps got an awful lot of minutes and will probably get a good amount next year too. I think he's more of a microwave bench player in D1 - I think he can play that role here.
