Give me Hoiberg or Collins any day. Both should be able to recruit better at IU and both can coach. I’ll take both over a mid major coach any day.
Agree. Just listen to both of them in post game interviews and contrast with CMW. Their basketball IQs are much higher than mike imo

Time for Kentucky fans to start a “Fire Coach Calipari “ thread…going out early again. This time to powerhouse #14 seed Oakland University. So much talent going to waste!
His 4th tournament loss in last 5 tries makes me smile. Cheaters eventually get their due. Overpaid and overrated.

Sparty made BiG look good in game vs SEC State who finished 9th in conference. Shot 50% FGs, 42% 3pts, 80% FTs and won the RB battle. Izzo had his team ready.

I hate that they are willing to take a huge risk/gamble for another year under Woodson. I totally feel the Coach Woodson and Co. is currently “On the Clock” as we speak. Yes, it’s been said that he’ll be back, but I feel it’s condition Al. JMO…
I really feel IU doesn’t want to be associated with the term, “We don’t eat our own!”Here’s my take,…..because he’s the former IU great Mike Woodson and earned back to back NCAA births his first two years is the only reason he’s getting a fourth year,…..”conditionally”.
The donors have upped the money to land the players Coach Woodson needs. Also being able to keep players like MM, MR along with already committed TG and AL will help sell player commitments to Coach Woodson. If key IU players decide hit the portal and Coach Woodson isn’t able to land an upgraded roster through the portal,…..even with more money to throw around, I don’t think he survives the summer. JMO
The boosters/donors aren’t going to want to throw more money without landing some top level, desperately needed position players. Like I just said, if Coach Woodson doesn’t lock down and create a dramatic roster improvement through retention of players and the portal, he probably doesn’t see the 2024-2025 season. JMO
And if they needmore ammo to fire him, let’s use Shooting FTs. Hoosiers dead last in Big Ten at 66%. They were about 350 teamS that averaged higher than Blue Blood IU! Poor recruiting and poor practice of fundamentals can totally be attributed to CMW. Its an embarrassment to the IU brand.

Looked at his stats and it looks like he was very inconsistent. His shooting not great but did have games where he shot the 3 well.
we have plenty of inconsistency when it comes to shooting and defense. dont need more

My son graduated from IU with a major from the Kelly School of Business. He probably would say that IU made a poor investment for Woodson's service, and the return on his $4 million salary is disappointing when compared to other well known coaches in DI. The following all were paid between $1.0 million to $1.8 million LESS than Woodson this year:
- Chris Collins
- Mark Few
- Hubert Davis
- TJ Otzelberger
- Greg McDermott
- Shaka Smart

I agree deep down. I think I’m in the “acceptance” stage of my iubb grief
Agree with you that the AH atmosphere is fantastic. However, there were about 20 other DI schools averaging anywhere from 14,000 to 19,000 per game this season. Syracuse, Kentucky, Arkansas and North Carolina all had higher attendance than IU.

Why not? He claims the UMass final four. We all watched them play and it literally happened. Removing a piece of cloth hanging from a ceiling isn’t a punishment. lol. it’s like saying the Fab 5 never happened. lol. I don’t ever think oh they weren’t there. I distinctly remember Weber calling a timeout he didn’t have. Oh wait he was being laid so it never happened. lol. Reggie Bush is suing the NCAA for defamation. NCAA is like a cartel exploiting people to make billions off a basketball tournament.
Duke didn’t get their banners taken away for all the jewelry and houses they bought recruits and their families. Selective enforcement at its finest. lol.was Weber being laid or being paid? .......great quote

i really am curious in people's updated wish list as we go. i know it's early, so it will change often. seems like right now (not necessarily in order):
AJ Casey
Christian Watson
Lee Dort
Koren Johnson
Michael Ajayi
Jacob Crews
Nils Cooper
Marcus Foster
Jakobi Gillespie
Jalen Blackmon
Would we want all of those guys if we can get them?
Im curious which are proven PGs. Anybody help on this?

So will the approach be go out right away and get guys in the portal or wait for some better players to enter after they are eliminated. I want guys from winning programs who know what it takes to win.
Another thing is how our fans react when our first commit might he from a mid major even though he might be a bench player.
Agree. Also suggest we screen recruits better in regard to FTs %. Shannon from IL sunk 15-17 today in championship game.

Ia St putting on a clinic of defense vs Houston, including against 3s. Are any IU coaches watching this? You could learn something here.

Ever notice in the Jersey Mike commercials that Danny Devito is looking down into the camera? I figure the camerman must be laying on the floor for that.

We probably need him to satisfy DEI goals.

In 1990, we’d stop at McD’s with our kids and appreciated clean bathrooms vs. dirty ones at gas stations. In 2024, you should avoid dirty McD bathrooms and use the spotless ones at these gas stations: Love’s, WaWa, Scheetz, Buckys or Pilot.

My buddy and his wife were at game and texted me this morning he couldn't believe how many empty seats there were for almost all of the sessions....said IU/Nebraska was easily the most attended.
I'd suggest the Big 10 not think about doing Minny again.
And I’d suggest a thorough upgrade of refs, which should be possible in light of the big ten TV cash cow. Otherwise, viewers will prefer watching better basketball in the SEC, Big East, ACC and Big 12.

I'm fine with him getting about 10-12 mins a game next year. Probably should have gotten about 6 a game this year on a competitive high major.
I was hoping he was going to be a better version of Jordy Hulls. That was kinda what he was billed. Yeah right. How on earth did that kid win Ohio player of the year as a junior? Does that state not produce?
Interesting. That state produced Bobby Knight.

True. But his shooting stroke is so much better than X, TG, AL and Sparks for example.

Woody is proud we outscored NB 24-20 in the paint. He is classic living proof that very good players usually are failures at coaching.

Never get tired of watching Ware and a MM back pedaling to the hoop when “defending” a drive in the paint. Incredible weakness.

Watching Gonzaga Kansas and dreaming to have a PG like Nembhard, averages almost 7 assists per game. These teams know how to move the ball quickly with limited dribbling and lots of energy. Our Hoosiers comparatively too plodding and uncertain offensively.
