The way the Cubs are playing the past couple weeks, they don't deserve to be in the playoffs. How the hell do they lose 2 out of 3 at home to Pittsburgh in crunch time??

I joked about it a few weeks ago but it's still the same. We've had 1 starter since July and with the exception of Wicks the rest of the staff has stunk and Jed did nothing to improve it. If this team makes the playoffs somehow MLB should revisit the WC stuff.

Yankees ace pitcher, Gerrit Cole, probably solidified his AL Cy Young chances last night beating the Blue Jays, 5-3. Cole pitched his last home game of the season going 8 innings with 9 strikeouts and 1 hit, the only run scored on a passed ball. He is 14-4 and a 2.75 era for the year. He has been a bright spot in an otherwise dismal year. For all you Yankee haters, playoffs won't be the same without the Pinstripes this year....

Reds tied at 1 after 4. The Pirates run came on a home run but it wouldn't have been a homer in many ballparks. Reds blew a lot of early opportunities leaving 5 guys on in the first two innings. Pirates pitchers walked 4 and hit a batter but could only 1 run. While writing this the Pirates hit another homer that barely got out

Reds lose 7-5 which outs them 1.5 games back. Had 1-0 lead 3-2 lead 4-3 lead and 5-4 lead but the bullpen gave up the lead the next inning.

The last two games the bullpen has thrown 6.1 innings and has given up 9 runs. If you count the game before that when we used only bullpen where they gave up 7 runs. That is 15.2 innings and 16 runs and all losses.

Reds lose 13-12

Reds had 2nd and 3rd and no outs but could only score one run. Had a guy on 3rd and one out and couldn't score. We should have scored two runs because Votto was on first and Freidl hit a ball down the right field line that should have scored Votto and Freidl could have been at 3rd. Votto was to slow and had to stop him at 3rd. Fraley then grounded out that scored Votto but if he scored on the previous hit then we would have tied it.

With the Yankees loss today against the D'backs today, they have been officially eliminated. You guys have fun rooting for your teams that may still be in contention for any post-season.

As Cub fans would say.....  Wait 'til next year...

The way the Astros have been playing, I fear we are right behind you. :(
