rico
Every so often I get on sports reference and just look around at different teams and seasons. I had completely forgot that we weren't the only team that headed into the '76 Final Four undefeated. https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/rutgers/1976-schedule.html

The season started in December A whole lot of Independents., including big names such as Syracuse. Marquette, and UNLV (there are none today in CBB as far as I know). Seton Hall in some conference I never heard of that included Ivy League teams Princeton & Columbia, which means those schools were in two conferences. 5fouls
They beat the National Champions that season. And, Paul George wasn't even good enough to start for them. https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/texas-pan-american/1981.html
