btownqb
Going to attempt to do my best to "breakdown" the transfers that Indiana had in the offseason. There was a number of them... *** career starts are based on summer league+college starts. Starting Pitchers Ben Seiler- SR- LHP-Siena- 6'6 245- 2022 season Friday night starter for Siena-- 80IP 4.35ERA 86K 28BBs. I've mentioned, he was hung out to dry a lot last season because he had to eat innings for Siena. Going into his last start of the season... his ERA sat at 3.65. He had a 16K game and a 19K game last season. 2021 Summer ball- 35IP 2.83ERA 1.22WHIP Ben just needs to give us a chance on Fridays. Much like Perkins last season. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=seiler000ben Seti Manase-JR-RHP-Tacoma JC- 6'3 230- 2022 season Friday night starter for his JC. He was Pitcher of the Year in his conference and dominated the competition. 74.2 innings 1.69ERA 92K 10BB. Hopefully he is talented enough to play at this level. https://tacomatitans.com/sports/baseball/roster/seti-manase/802 Cooper Hellman- SO- RHP- WKU- 6'4 185- 2022 season started 8 games as a TR FR for WKU. 6.00ERA in 33IP 4/9- vs. FIU- 7IP 2H 5K 0R https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=hellma000coo Luke Sinnard- SO- RHP- WKU 6'8 230- 2022 season- up to 96mph-97mph on the gun recently. 7.18ERA in 26.1IP 5/17 vs. Bellarmine- 6IP 4H 1ER 5K https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=sinnar000luk Relief Pitchers Adrian Vega- SO - Butler (7 career starts) - 6' 205lbs RHP- 2022 season- 4.95ERA with mostly relief appearances, but late in the season and in Adrian started 7 games. In those 7 starts he threw 3.26ERA in 33 innings with 51Ks. Nice piece to add with 3 years of eligibility. In 60 innings between summer ball and Butler he had a 1.12 WHIP https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=vega--000adr Gabe Levy- SR- Davidson RHP (has 20 career starts)- 2022 season- 3.58ERA 32innings. For his career he has thrown 180 innings 3.27ERA. Loads of experience. He figures to be in the mix big time. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=levy--000gab Brooks Ey- JR- Fordham (20 career starts) 6'2 210 RHP- 2022 season- 75IP 6.90ERA. Kid was throwing 80-110pitches EVERY outing. Then.. late in the year they brought him out of the pen. He throws 3IP out of the pen all year and scoreless innings. He goes to summer ball and throws another 26IP out of the pen... dominates. 26IP 0.69ERA 2ER 43K 6BB https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=ey----000bro Nathan Ball- JR- Youngstown St- LHP- 24IP 5.55ERA... only thing I can think of.. we needed some more lefties out of the pen. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=ball--000nat Position Players Austin Bode- SO- Louisville- 5'11 205lbs- C/1B/DH between UL and summer ball-- 107 ABs .280/.355 12RBIs 11SBs Pretty highly rated recruit out of Columbus North. We needed to revamp our catching position moving forward and Austin is a big step to that. He'll undoubtedly get some time this year. And knock on wood, huge addition for depth/injury purposes. And dammit, I like when Indiana kids go to Indiana. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=bode--000aus Jorge De Goti- SO- Florida- 6'1 190- MIF- basically no stats between UF and summer ball last season. Top 400 player coming out of HS. Again, depth piece, probably... but god forbid Glasser goes down or something. And could definitely win the spot next year. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=degoti000jor
