BGleas
Don't post in the baseball forum often, but wanted to share this as a Red Sox fan that was living in Boston during the 2004 season. Was a special run that was and Wakefield was a big part of it.
5fouls
I've always had an affinity for knuckleballers. Knuckleballers are more unique than .300 hitters, 40 home run guys, or 20 game winners. RIP

RIP In my late teens/early 20s, I could throw one that wouldn't roll about 1 out of every 3...Never had the gall to throw it in a game though... It's a beauty of a pitch if you can throw it, but even the masters would tell you, you throw one that rolls and it's a batting practice fastball...
Proud2BAHoosier
Other than the fact 2004 was brought up, which as a Yankee fan I try to forget, Wakefield had the absolute best knuckleball I've ever seen thrown by a pitcher! He made a lot of hitters look foolish. Tip of the hat to Tim and RIP.....
