I remember the first time I saw Kirk play I thought there is no way he could play at IU.  It was when they use to let the freshman class go around Indiana in a barnstorming tour and he just did not look good at all.  it shows that first impressions are not always the correct one so it is good to be patient.

I love it when a player and a coach develop a special bond.  So much emphasis is put on winning that the impact a coach can have on a young person's life is often overlooked.

Very true. Great story that Coach K tells about RMK going to Chicago after Mike's father passed.
