cybergates
Game 13 VS Dan Dakich gets his dream job back for the moment as he takes over at half-time for Kelvin Sampson who has some phone calls to make. The 2008 Indiana team with one and done Eric Gordon and all-time fan favorite DJ White take on the Lou Watson’s 1969 Hoosiers with Joe Cooke. https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/indiana/2008.html https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/indiana/1969.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007–08_Indiana_Hoosiers_men's_basketball_team https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1968–69_Indiana_Hoosiers_men's_basketball_team
cybergates
Game 14 VS Turmoil teams in back to back games, as the 2001 Indiana team follows-up the 2008 team’s firing of Kelvin Sampson with one of the biggest firings in NCAA basketball history. Mike Davis takes over for legendary Bob Knight and battles Knight’s perfect team, the undefeated NCAA Champion 1976 Hoosiers. It’s the All-Time March Madness team of 1976 vs. IU’s All-Time Big Ten Tournament team (only finals appearance) of 2001. https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/indiana/2001.html https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/indiana/1976.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2000–01_Indiana_Hoosiers_men's_basketball_team https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1975–76_Indiana_Hoosiers_men's_basketball_team
5fouls
In the first game, Cybergates took my Dakich taking over at halftime storyline, so I'll just say that, despite Danny's best efforts to blow it, the 2008 team holds on.
5fouls
In the second game, one of the teams lost to Indiana State. The other did not lose at all. '76 remains perfect.....for now. Edit: I see by the voting tallies that Mike Davis reads our board.
