cybergates
Game 15 VS Bob Knight’s final Final Four team, the 1992 Hoosiers are an amazing collection of Indiana talent with 9 of the 13 players hailing from our great state (the other 4 were Midwesterners, 3 from IL, 1 from MI). They will be looking for revenge after some highly questionable calls contributed to their loss to Duke in 92. Now, they’ll take on the SO version of the man who led Bob Knight’s last champion team as a SR, Steve Alford and the 1985 Hoosiers. https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/indiana/1992.html https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/indiana/1985.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1991–92_Indiana_Hoosiers_men's_basketball_team https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1984–85_Indiana_Hoosiers_men's_basketball_team
cybergates
Game 16 VS The underachieving 2017 Indiana team, ultimately led to Tom Crean’s firing after a home game at GA Tech loss in the NIT. A team that featured 3 future NBA players sat at 13-6 when OG Anunoby was lost for the year. Going 5-10 down the stretch, the 2017 Hoosiers missed the NCAA, but now they’ll hope to rebound vs. the 1960 Indiana team. It will be no easy task as they’ll face 2 future NBA players in Walt Bellamy and Frank Radovich who despite finishing 20-4, 2nd in the Big Ten, and 5th in the SRS rankings, due to the times weren’t invited to any post-season play. https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/indiana/2017.html https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/indiana/1960.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016–17_Indiana_Hoosiers_men's_basketball_team https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1959–60_Indiana_Hoosiers_men's_basketball_team
5fouls
In the first game, still riding a high from shutting down Michael Jordan in the previous year's NCAA tournament, Dan Dakich gives up 46 points to Todd Leary as the 1992 team rolls. 5fouls
In the second game, Tom Crean's Hoosiers' 2017 squad tries to outscore the Walt Bellamy led '60 team, but fails. The 2017 team scores 87, but gives up 141 to the '60 team, of which Bellamy scored 92 points himself.
