I will try to post the new day’s games at noon EST. Many claim a bad matchup cut short 2013’s NCAA tournament run. rico Posted March 31, 2020 Report Share Posted March 31, 2020 These are a couple of dandy match-ups. Game #1---The lack of a true point guard comes into play in this one. Cody is non-existent against Tolbert and Turner. And 2012 has nobody that can guard Woody. 1980 wins by double digits. Game #2--In an almost identical match-up of Game #1 a few different things emerge. Yogi does his best to hang with Isiah but Cody falters once again due to the physical presence the '81 team has down low. Crean found somebody that likes to run, except Knight's Hoosiers play defense. This one gets ugly early and the '81 squad sprays '13 with a big ole can of "whoop ass." 5fouls Posted March 31, 2020 Report Share Posted March 31, 2020 The second game is a classic. In an attempt to intimidate the '81 team, the '13 team wore 'Pan American' warm ups. And, it looked as if it may work, as '13 jumped to a 14 point lead. In an act of desperation, Bob Knight employs a zone in the second half to thoroughly confuse '13.
