" 34. Indiana (NR): Hey now, look who is in the Power 36! The Hoosiers are playing their best basketball of the season, despite the loss of De’Ron Davis to a season-ending achilles injury. Indiana has won three in a row, winning at Minnesota, then taking out Penn State and Northwestern at home. OK, so the bid is a long shot at 11-7, 4-2 overall, an RPI of 116 and just one win in quadrant 1 and 1 in quadrant 2. So, you’re saying there is a chance? Well, the next game is at Michigan State Friday. What if the Hoosiers won? Then, yes, it all changes. So, for a few days, enjoy the Hoosiers playing well and making things very entertaining. "

Always nice to get some love, even if it probably isn't yet warranted.

Let's hope the players realize this. A moral victory wont' do on Friday....they need to go in expecting to steal one.

Egad.  First.... Clark Kellogg includes IU in talk about making the dance.  Then the Chicago Tribune moves IU into 5th in their B1G power poll.  And not Andy has us solidly (at present) in the dance.  Be still my heart !

Hey thanks for the contribution.  Much appreciated .

Can't help but think this 11-7 record should be 13-5 and then there would be little doubt that we would be considered in barring a collapse.

Exactly. Those two losses really stung. Just means we got to steal a few that we're unexpected to get, and win the ones we should win. We'll see if we can continue to perform well.

Totally agree.  In fact I was thinking much the same after our win on Sunday.

so winning 2 of 3 from either OSU, MSU or PU will balance out the 2 losses is what you're saying?

I don't think we can beat OSU or MSU on the road.  Going to need to win 2 of the 3 home games against the Bucks, Sparty, and the Boilers and pretty much win 6 of the other 7 to get where we want to be.

To be honest, we should be 14-4.

It’s not like we had close games with ISU and IPFW. If you want to play that game, we should have lost to Notre Dame.

Flip the ND to a loss and the ISU and IPFW games to wins, regardless I think we would still be in a much better place then we are now. I think those two losses mean more than the win.

Possibly. If you flip those, we have no quality wins.
