  1. This is the weekend for Victor Oladipo's fantasy basketball experience at Assembly Hall. Archie posted this picture on Twitter this morning. It warms my heart to see these three in a picture together and I just had to share it.

  2. Luck is an extremely bright guy. I am confident that this is not an easy decision for him and I bet he is absolutely torn. Will not ever disparage him. Only hope the best for he and his family. As far as the Colts go... Trevor Lawrence?

  3. After reading some of the idiot responses I saw on Colts.com makes it harder to actually be a spots fan. I think some people just take sport way to seriously and to talk about a person like I read is just totally embarrassing.

  4. Man. You guys need to chill. You have no idea what the man has going on in his personal life. He's not demanding a trade like PG just so he can get out of Indy. but continue playing. He may have serious health issues (physical or mental). He may be dealing with a private family situation. Even if he just wants to hang it up, wouldn't most of us have loved to be able to retire at age 29? Totally unfair to rip him over this decision without having all the facts.

  5. Cooked out on the deck tonight, overlooking the lake. Glass of bourbon and it’s low 70’s. Sunset coming and it’s a beautiful night.

  6. After watching his press conference, I’ll take back what I said. Looks like he wasn’t in a good place and I understand walking away. The timing is extremely unfortunate but it is what it is. Pissed that the info leaked tonight as it wasn’t supposed to until tomorrow. The whole booing would’ve been avoided if it hadn’t leaked tonight.

  7. Is it not obvious? He's retiring because of chronic injuries. Why did he decide to "screw" the Colts and do it now? Because he was genuinely trying to continue on. By all accounts, Luck is a stand up guy with a solid work ethic. This isn't a guy that has flaked out consistently. Those same attributes that everyone admired are probably the same that are leading him to retire. The attitudes being displayed here are somewhere between disappointing and disgusting.

  10. Lol...my mother in law was a teacher for over 30 years. My wife can’t stand teachers and says they complain too much lol including her mom. I don’t want to get murdered so while I greatly appreciate those that will be helping educate our youth I do think I could sit here and complain about my job and how corporations have changed and expectations are unrealistic and those Young kids I manage coming in have changed and blah blah blah but every job has its challenges. I don’t know what to say...it’s my generation that evidentially is raising these entitled kids etc so I’ve got no one to blame bu

  11. He’s closer to 6’7 than 6’5. He can play some 4 in small ball lineups but he’s not a traditional power forward.

  14. Why is that because if you are a fan of a team you should support them through bad times as well.

  15. And that is all it should be because it is his body and his life and not yours and he doesn't own anything to anyone but himself and family. You really need to get a life if you get this upset over something so minor in your life.

  16. Grow up because Luck is far from weak. He finished the game against Denver with a lacerated Kidney and played a whole year with a severe shoulder injury. It is just football and is for entertainment and stop taking it so seriously.

  17. I am not gonna comment on some of the comments I have read. I am very disappointed and sad at Luck's decision. However I understand it completely and I wish him the best in his future endeavors. Go Colts!

  18. I've said this before, Painter is in a perfect spot for him. Like it or not, the Purdue admin will tolerate mediocrity in their sports programs...for a long time. If Pork Chop keeps being competitive in the B10 and every so often makes a Sweet 16 or Elite 8, he'll coach there as long as Keady did, if not longer. If he'd make a Final 4, they'd rename West Lafayette to the Hamlet of Pork Chop

  19. Again though, you’re making an assumption and then basing your opinion off that. The Irsay’s knew and I’m sure a few others in the org. The plan was for Luck to announce it to his teammates postgame and then address the media today. There is nothing in it for Luck to leak that early. At the end of the day though, it doesn’t really matter. The man made a difficult decision to find happiness in his own life. He doesn’t owe anyone anything, except for himself and his family. He has struggled with injuries his entire career, has his first kid on the way, and has a lifetime of money and more,

  22. Obviously anyone who follows my posting knows I'm a Bears fan first....but living in Indy it's hard not to support Colts. I cheer for them. I'll let some of the fan police tell other fans how they should react. In terms of football only. People should remind themselves why Ballard said Olines will always be addressed on his watch.....as well as be reminded the ineptness of Ryan Grigson. His inability to address Colts line for years was as much a reason for Luck's injuries as anything. All of football lost last night. QB's like him don't come along often.

  23. Said it because I don't think Painter cheats at recruiting, at least not at the level that Syracuse does. And, admittedly, the Bernie Fine thing played a part in my comment, even though I'm not really sure we know what happened there.

  24. Well said dgambill. My kids spent weeks preparing for tests. If that's the case everywhere, why aren't the results way up? Recently saw an article where the majority of STEM college graduates are now foreigners - mainly Chinese. We are running out of time to get our kids focused on education the way it should be.

  25. Irsay looked healthier than luck. Anyone actually that upset about this needs to go hang out with a paraplegic for a day or visit a cancer ward. "Bone issue." Pray to God he doesn't have cancer or there will be a lot of people with karma on their back step.

  26. During the past couple of decades the colts have been my alternative to so many disappointing BB seasons. Boy, I sure hope Archie can get things rolling ASAP because right now I don't see any reason to be optimistic about the colts in the foreseeable future. It seems like between IU basketball and the colts it's been constant waiting for the right coach, the great player, or an end to the injuries. I gave up on baseball decades ago, the NBA after that (and never got invested in IU football for obvious reasons). Something has go right eventually. Right?

  27. Just me. I think Luck handled himself incredibly weak.

  28. Obviously this is a tough blow for the Colts, but I don’t know how anyone can do anything but respect Andrew Luck and his decision. He handled himself beautifully in the press conference. He gave his body to football and doesn’t want to do it anymore. I respect that fully. In typical fashion, Dan Dakich is embarrassing himself on twitter right now.

  29. Then, all I can say is that I hope Andrew Luck gets a chance to follow you around one day questioning every personal decision you make.

  30. Brissett is a legit qb. Cannot evaluate him based on two years ago. Colts are a much better team than they were then. If Brissett goes down, then I would worry... don’t get me wrong, he’s not Luck, but he’s more than legit

  31. A terminal illness? If we find out that’s what it is, I’ll gladly take back what I said. If he knew there was a good chance he wasn’t going to play, I doubt he literally just thought of it today. Colts are now left scrambling without a legit QB.

  32. Again, the decision I can live with. The timing is atrocious and totally screws the Colts.

  34. Agree on the offensive concerns, but the offense created open looks that guys just couldn't hit. We also had a ton of shots during the streak that Romeo driving to the right, and Juwan getting to the rim, just couldn't convert. Some of that had to be fatigue. Not sure who will be the focus of the offense this year; would guess it will be much more dispersed. Just hope our outside shooting improves.

  36. I think the kid has a high upside but he is 6’4. Cross can play a position that he can’t. I just like Cross’s size and toughness a bit more but certainly nothing wrong with this kids game. I mean we already landed Leal, Franklin, and Galloway I’m not sure who loses their minutes there. In a vacuum I’d say sure...but for what we need Cross I think is the better fit.

  41. Greatly appreciate your response. It's easy to listen to the people you always agree with, and tune out the others. We all want the same thing. Agree about what is taking shape with Archie's plan. Not sure we'll ever know how much he was limited by Glass at the beginning. The losing streak hurt moral and momentum. Luckily we have a gritty coach that isn't all flash. Love what has happened this summer. Adding Brunk, Mike Roberts, and the 2020 recruits has begun to clarify a plan. I like where we are headed. Indiana high school basketball provides us with a unique opportunity to hav

  42. Not only is Coach Miller recruiting Indiana from inside out. He seems to have some respect for IU history. Guarantee that Victor and or Calbert would not be back home if there were issues with Coach Miller. Even the return of Coach Knight to Bloomington. Now, I am not saying Coach Miller had anything to do with it. However, Coach Knight had kind things to say about Coach Miller, when IU hired Archie. And remember.... Coach Knight's wish at one time that all IU admin's .... well I will just say... wished them ill will.

  43. I find weather events and climate interesting too. I remember one spring break in April, I think in 1993 or 94 where it snowed enough to build an igloo. Also have had hunting seasons with temps in the 70's and 80's. I'm not sure if weather/climate swings are any more abnormal. Technically, until the next ice age, we will be in a warming trend. Depending on what one believes, humans have existed for roughly 30,000 years and the industrial revolution started about 220 years ago. Humans have definitely polluted earth but as old as earth is I think it's a stretch to claim climate change i

  44. I'd like to keep this post for weather news and updates. Not to get off topic, or political, I get what you are saying about the weathe extremes but have to wonder if that is just because of more of a focus by the media. Personally, I remember the blizzards of 67, 77/78, summer temps over 100, cold snap of 30? below around 1990 all in the Chgo area- all happening 30+ years ago. Logic would say those should be more common now. We have a "polar vortex" with temps 0-10 below and it is national news now. I saw a great article not too long ago on the topic that researched this. Can't lo
