  1. Here’s me with my wife and kids. My oldest (3 1/2) completely changed my world when he was born and has made me a much better man and husband. Been with my wife since high school, she’s amazing! The little one is always goofing around.

  4. Started at 930 this morning and finished around 330. 30 55 gallon bags full of leaves today. Love me a good sweat but my hands are hurting. These first few Coors Lights won't have a long shelf life tonight.

  5. One thing that I thought was interesting after listening to Pritchard on Dakich's show was that he is willing to lose a few regular season games to let younger players develop and that way everyone on the roster feels they can contribute and be ready for the playoffs. He even threw Alize Johnson's name out as an example. This tells me Pritchard was tired of drafting young players like Johnson, Leaf, Bitadze, Sumner, Holiday, and others and never seeing them get a real shot to play and get in a role that they can contribute. Holiday eventually did but only because of injuries. That's like I know people like to bash Leaf but I truly believe that his struggles were because of McMillan. He was a really good player at UCLA and then just never got a real shot to play. I've said it before but I wouldn't be surprised if he brokeout or at least found a role with this new system especially since new Nate wants to be a faster paced team.

  17. Getting close to my last haul of the year. Candied jalapeños (last weekend), made sauerkraut from a head of cabbage, and dried and ground my peppers for some cayenne pepper. I can't wait to try the jalapeños. Might have to crack into a jar next weekend even though it should probably go 3-4 weeks. My peppers were picked last weekend, so I can probably get another harvest next weekend. Have another cabbage and a couple red cabbage to pick too. That one will probably be my last harvest even if I have more come in after that. About gardened out for the year.

  20. Ouch, that hurts. Actually my ancestors were from the backwoods of Kentucky and West Virginia. My Mom's Dad traded a couple farm animals to get my grandmother. He was born in 1861 and my grandmother was born on 1890. As soon as they got hitched she started popping out youngins.

  21. My wife is 24 years younger than I am. We were in Northern Michigan a few years ago and went to a craft show. My wife found a pair of earrings she like but the place didn't take credit cards. Normally I never have cash but this time I had enough to buy them for her. The young girl in the booth said, "that is so nice of you to buy those for your daughter." I said yes it is and I slept with her last night!

  23. I guess this does not matter to a hill of beans. However, since seeing a mention of Stan Lee. The mile family has framed drawings from Stan Lee, lining the hallway between our upstairs bedrooms. Two of which were signed by Mr. Lee when he came to Denver comic com in 2016.

  26. Maybe a pipe dream, but someone mentioned on JMV yesterday about O. G. and the Raptors connection. I know it was wishful thinking, but would be interesting if it had legs. O. G. is a true work horse with the makings of star status....

  27. My wife looked 19 when we got married at 28 and 26. We were in youth ministry and out at the fair with a group of kids. She went up to the guess your age game with a group of girls and he guessed 19, she was 29 at that point. She's 37 now. Like fine wine.

  31. Haha. *Mental* exhaustion. Been doing all of the above. Physically I’m in the best shape since my 20s. Me and @mrflynn03were actually PMing the other day about nutrition and this Netflix documentary called “The Game Changers”....it has an interesting take on plant based diets from a performance standpoint.

  32. Dang, we may have to add covid exhaustion syndrome to our check list of possibilities. Maybe we need to spark up a health, wellness, nutrition, and exercise thread. Thinking of starting with a sugar fast.

  37. Covid seems impossible to escape. I'm burnt out and no matter how hard I try to avoid it I cant. I've tuned it out best I can. A couple tv shows I watch are coming back soon but with pandemic storylines. Ugh. As silly as it may be I've been watching alot of Food Network but every dang commercial has a covid reference of some sort. 2020 is a grindstone and I'm mentally exhausted. I've been avoiding this thread but didnt know where else to post my thoughts. My attendance at work this year isnt great. I talked to my manager about it. I dont feel depressed and there are no problems at home but I just dont feel like my normal self.

  38. The Pacers are in a tough, but interesting spot. If I was Pritchard, I’d be tempted to give the new coach a shot with the current core and to give a real chance to see what this core can do fully healthy (which it’s never been). The Pacers lack a star to be truly elite, but otherwise the core of this team is really deep, skilled and tough. It would be interesting to give it until the trade deadline before moving guys like Turner and Oladipo. The tough question is whether Pritchard thinks he could get more now for players versus at the deadline. I think the off-season trades are typically more balanced for both teams.

  44. So far Nate is saying the right things in his welcome conference this morning. Main highlights are: - Offensive style will be disruptive, lots of movement. Different guys handling the ball. - Pritchard receiving lots of texts and calls about this being a great hire - No set rotation, each game dictates a rotation. Won't be afraid to enter "said" player into any game. Wants each player to believe he can enter any game - Believes talent and IQ of the team is very good - The two bigs are very dynamic, compliment each other very well. Feels very comfortable having two bigs - On Oladipo; He texted me(coach) immediately after I was hired and I called him. It was very welcoming, we had a great talk, I like Vics energy, our energy fed off of each other. Note from Pritchard on Vic: - Vic and I(Pritchard) have a great relationship, Vic feels good about the team. He's talked to me about how he thinks this team can be very good. You hear alot of things, but until it comes to me I don't really worry about what is being talked about. He(Pritchard) pointed out Vic still has 1 year left on his deal -Pritchard had a team zoom call yesterday and said Vic spoke up and was positive as he has ever seen Vic. - Vic is full out cleared health wise.

  45. Cracked open my candied jalapeños this weekend. Amazing. Triscuit, cream cheese, jalapeño. So delicious. The peppers from my garden were a little hot, so I could see finding some milder jalapeños, but they're still incredible. Here's the recipe.
