Rumor had it that we were going to hire Bruce Pearl, that didn't pan out either lol. I am not saying anything bad about the kid, i am just saying he hasn't played since high school. He has never played 1 minute of college ball. Lets lower the expectations to be a b it more realistic. Just my 2c though

I would be highly surprised. he hasn't played basketball in 2 years. I would expect him to be rust AF this year and maybe come back to form in the 25 season. Gotta build up the endurance and game speed skillset. Shooting is so much about the legs. Gonna take a while.

There are no excuses. We have enough talent all way down to 11 on the bench. Unless we lose 5+ players, we shouldn't have one single excuse for not performing at a high level this year.

We now have plenty of talent on this team, at all spots. Cupps and Galloway can come off the bench like they should have. This is going to come down to coaching and execution. Can the coaching staff get this team coached up and playing together and can the team execute what the staff wants them to do. To many time over the last couple years we either haven't been coached well or the players weren't able to execute well enough to succeed. I will be very disappointed if we're not SIGNIFICANTLY better with the talent we just added to this team.

We are going to need to shoot in the mid 30s as a team from 3. And it would be nice to have 2 players closers to 40% on mid to higher volume. Is is absolutely required, no, but it has been a glaring hole for IU for quite some time. I know people don't think its that important, but to me its the biggest missing piece we have had for years.

Those are the 64k questions right there. Can we take the pieces we have and turn them into something enjoyable to watch and win games. As we say every year, we have talent. We should be able to compete for a top 3 and a long Tourney run.

So each year they have a chance to negotiate for another NIL deal? That has to be exhausting for everyone involved.

I have a question about the NIL and the "Extra" money i heard was added this year. Is this extra money only for this year? Do these players we're buying get this extra money for the whole time they are at IU or just this year? Is a NIL deal for the whole time they play for a school or can they negotiate each year? I really don't have much of an idea what rules are around the NIL

the current NIL and Transfer Portal guidelines is gutting college basketball. At some point, schools will need to start having kids sign contracts with buyouts to keep them at one place longer than a year.

New offseason, same optimism. How many times have we said top 1-3 conference, second weekend, top 25 team over the last 20 years. I have zero expectations for IU basketball. So at least when they are good i will be surprised and excited.
