Me too. He took 51 shots, 42 were threes, made 15 so 35.7%. Works for me with a much higher volume. I don't care what position the threes come from, just take and make more.

Yet someone questioned my suggestion (not here I don't think) that Calipari is a mediocre coach. The talent he was bringing in year-in-year-out at UK I could probably do as well as he did.

This guy seems a bit more fleet of foot than Sparks and is shooting threes. I say bring it.

I agree with this, but until the roster is set and the scholarships are filled, we can't yet say we don't have any shooters. Upgrading overall talent seems to be the first and necessary step.

I don't think many teams are going to do this going forward precisely because of the situation you are describing. Why spend on the unknown.

The "stand in the corner" role is pretty much what every single NBA team does on most plays. You're hoping that someone with the ball actually moves it via passing or penetrating.

Drew Adams recruited Hickman to Bradley and is now at Cincy. Interesting turn of events. None of this is going to be set in stone in my mind until you get these guys in school etc.

Seems like most info is coming from Rabby from what I am gathering. I can't speak for @DC2345 But some of this stuff I see people quoting Rabby.

Some of the biggest "misses" have been Indiana kids, both who we've passed on and who we've recruited. But don't get tunnel vision. You can't just take an Indiana kid to appease people. It's not where their from but the "Indiana" intangibles that matter.

But I think roster construction has a lot to do with recruiting. And the recruitment of guards is what I am referring to. We've had plenty of talented big men. If we would've hit on as many guards as we did big men, we would have won a lot more. There have been quite of few reaches as far as the group is concerned. I like what we're trying to do in the portal and if we land who we're hearing, we're going to see improvement and quickly.
