  1. Top 13 salary for a Coach no NBA or D1 team would want lmfao what are we doing here?!
  2. You had me at “Drinkwine” son. -Woody on zoom call
  3. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-2024-wing-diamant-blazi-is-visiting-this-week/ Both now confirmed per Rabby/TDH.
  4. Sorry, there’s so many threads I didn’t know where to put it haha. Idk about the other guy but obviously Tucker would be a great add.
  5. I believe there was a rumor our staff was trying to get him to transfer last year, FWIW.
  6. Just saying one less guy to have to grab from the portal lmao.
  7. Luckily Cal has a non toxic fan base so he’ll bounce back quick!
  8. Nah, it just seems things are moving quicker in his recruitment in comparison to other guys were are in on. Plus the portal hasn’t been open for very long and plenty of guys to further consider. Nothing to do with the list of teams interested or where he played. Pretty sure Kansas was in contact with him anyway… Don’t even have to move conferences lol, can stay in the Big Ten and add Domask/Baldwin/Williams/Walker/Langborg/Young/Jones etc. as guys that didn’t play at major schools yet made a big impact.
  9. Not that I want MR gone (because he has a lot of raw skill and I don’t think our staff can handle landing 8+ Impact portal players) but he needs at the very least to accept backup minutes at the 5. TJD is doing fine in the NBA so it shows MR can be successful too if he works on adding a motor and athleticism this off-season. That seems more manageable/attainable than expecting him to start shooting perimeter jumpers and beating guys off the bounce facing the basket regularly. If our staff is adamant on playing him 35+ minutes at the 4, they will struggle getting enough guards/wings to want to play in that type of scheme.
  10. Have no idea where to post this but I would think this is a positive sign of Mac returning? Awkward to host a camp in April if you’ve transferred out lol
  11. -NIT worthy team with current roster, losing best player (Ware) along with your starting PG -Malik seemed completely broken in his post game interview. Barring some insane NIL raise, expect him to move on. -Mac will likely test the NBA waters and leave us in limbo for months about his status. -Even if Reneau and Mac return, do we really want to watch Malik at the 4 and Mac at the 3 again? According to Woodson, his system is just fine, so why change their roles? -Woodson thinking his system is fine means we’ll go back to bully ball and the best scorers/shooters will go to programs that maximize their skills and potential (or simply places with proven coaches). Apparently losing Liam wasn’t enough for him to learn from his mistakes. Another season of getting run out of a gym unless a team has an off shooting night, we out-rebound them, win the turnover battle, and shoot 50%+ from the field. -Not sure how we plan on adding guards if we’re keeping Galloway and that was allegedly the reason we couldn’t get any upgrades in the first place. So another year of Galloway as shooting guard, despite the clear evidence he’s not a reliable perimeter threat? -If we don’t have early success, fans will lose patience quickly and we’ll have a half empty assembly hall. Won’t be able to hire a quality coach because the only thing keeping this going is our passionate fanbase and NIL donations. Plenty of schools can offer $ with less pressure/expectations. -Meanwhile, schools with HOF/very successful coaches (Matta, Huggins, Pitino) are considering Dusty May as their next head coach, one of the few guys who would take this job in a heartbeat. Like you said, what more does it take?! Congrats Dolson/BOT/Boosters, you officially killed the program.
  12. Ironic to me that we are not “true fans” because we want to hold this program to a standard of “tournament or bust” and yet our coaching staff declines an NIT invitation. Had little to no faith in Woodson from the start (due to his ZERO experience at the college level) but his greatest accomplishment to date being getting an ass whooping in the R32, along with no 2024 recruits, and him ending the season with a 20+ loss saying post game that his system works but we just “don’t hit the shots” was the nail in the coffin for me. No objective reason to think he’ll land 4-5 of the best players in the portal, or get the players with specific skills to make his system look better than it is. Even if he does acquire enough talent, they’ll likely be 1 year players and we’re back to another giant rebuild next year. Coach Woodson said himself he came here to win championships but we’re heading into year 4 with possibly his weakest roster ever and any “true fan” wouldn’t think getting a conference title or S16 is a reasonable offseason expectation. Taking all of this into consideration, what’s the point of giving this man another season?
  13. Down by 20 points, still jamming the ball into the paint to shoot over multiple guys, no half/full court pressure to try and get some extra possessions. Our staff does know it’s win or go home, right?
  14. Coach is paid 4.2 million a year and didn’t think to use (at least) one or THIRTEEN scholarships for a guy whose primary skill is shooting. Can’t wait to watch more of the same next year!
  15. I can’t for the life of me understand how we added Ware, had Reneau already on the team, knew that both would play a large role, surrounded them with zero perimeter threats, and thought that was a winning formula. Can’t win many games when teams are comfortable shooting a high volume of threes and you’re playing pound the paint. It’s why we were close to losing so many games against mid majors.
  16. Sorry to beat a dead horse but I can’t bear to watch another year of this style of offense. No team has to fear us from beyond the arc and it becomes impossible to win when you’re so one dimensional.
