Things are changing at Duke and Kentucky…time for the Hoosiers to step up and reclaim their status as one of the top teams (blue blood) in the country. 💪

Don’t get me wrong, I’d like to have him, but don’t like our odds. When somebody like Nebraska can almost guarantee him a major role (maybe starting), it will be tough to overcome, but maybe he wants to come back home to Indiana…let’s hope.

Playing time has to be a major concern for somebody like Essegian. If we get Carlyle as expected, we’ll already have 6 guards on the roster - Cupps, Galloway, Leal, Newton, Rice, Carlyle. Not sure I like those odds, if I’m looking for playing time.

We need to run the “picket fence”….the only problem is we don’t have a Jimmy Chitwood!

Not to mention 2 other “5 star” players - Reneau and Tucker.

While I’m excited about the addition of Tucker, Rice and Ballo, I see a repeat of last year unless we get a couple of legitimate 3pt shooters…and I mean an in your face type of guy! Someone talk me down off the ledge…please.

Carlyle is considered a scorer not a “shooter” - big difference. That’s nice, but we need shooters!

I totally agree. Not a knock on Leal, but he’s a reluctant shooter, and that’s not what we need. Hickman is an in your face shooter.

Don’t scare them away….word’s out there’s a deranged fan on the loose!

It won’t end well when they don’t have a constant lineup of 5 stars, and become a middle of the pack SEC team. I’ll give him 3 years before he’s run out of town. Seems like a good coach though, just going to be extremely hard to meet expectations at KU.

Unfortunately, teams will live and die by NIL and the portal. There will be a few exceptions here and there, but not many.
