Zuckerkorn
UI has the ideal combination of inside-outside talent. It's tough to defeat that.
GaloisGroupe
On to the next one, hopefully we punish NW for this beat down.

TheWatShot
Can we just fast-forward a month? This team is exhausting.
AxnJxn
I guess on the plus side, it’s blatantly clear that TJD can’t handle NBA bigs, so maybe we get another year?
dbmhoosier
Just awful. The talent gap is unreal.
Seeking6
From the 48-46 moment one team stepped up and made shots....the other didn't and that was us. Don't like losing to the Illini and this one will sting but they just stepped up and made shots, played better. Almost easier to get over a game like that. Onto Northwestern which is a must win considering who we have after. Still a tourney team but things can go to the bubble if we don't get 2 of these next 3.

Was the talent gap that wide when we were up 46-42 well into the second half. Here comes all the negative posters after a loss to the best team in tbe league. We had won 4 out of 5 coming into this game and had played well. 4

One team was mentally tougher and it was not us. Worked two good plays to get Stewart a three and he missed both and it was downhill from there.
GaloisGroupe
We did miss RP in this one. A second lock-down defender on the perimeter would have made it closer. That being said, they just wore us out and I do not think much changes that. On defense, we need two Race Thompsons

FritzIam4IU
Illinois played like they wanted that game more in the second half. Way too many missed shots...I think IU shot 35% from the floor today...not going to beat really good teams with that offensive performance. They just looked out of sync in second half. Onto Northwestern...
Cbp4IU
Trent Frazier is the player IU desperately needs. Unfortunately, it’s takes time and development to get a player like that. It’s unfortunate Phinsee has his injury issues that he does because he could have been that person.
hoosier_exotics
We are better in certain matchups when TJD is on the bench. Today was one of those... everyone else stops being aggressive when he's on the floor. Which isn't a good thing when he's getting his ass handed to him.. love our staff, but still say they suck at understanding matchups and rotstions

Hoosier987
Illinois is the far better team. TJD consistently gets out performed against bigger players. Don’t look now, but the schedule doesn’t get much easier. NW is about as close to a must win as you can get. We could lose multiple games here. Hoosier82
Mostly disappointed on the offensive execution and lack of effort on perimeter defense. Guys like Geronimo and Galloway who normally bring elite energy & effort seemed a little lethargic today. We need a wing who can score and open up things for the others. Out of Kopp, Bates, Geronimo & Galloway…someone needs to step up and be that guy if we’re gonna be successful going forward. We incredibly mediocre at that position

GaloisGroupe
Just like the Michigan game, it is what it is. The key is that the team needs to rebound in the same way and win the next games. For now, we have our buoyancy level: a solid, but not quite elite team.
