  1. I grew some last year, but they didn't amount to anything. There were a ton of tomatillos, but they would all fall off before they got very big. Biggest one I had was maybe golf ball size, but most never made it nearly that big. Not sure if I was too far north for them to grow well. Easy to grow though. A lot like a tomato. Grew up through the cage, and gets a ton of fruit.

  2. Spelling aside, it's tournament time in Indiana. Why is basketball buried on Page 7?

  4. It’s such a well-mastered album that it literally sounds great on anything! Those guys knew what they were doing in the studio.

  5. That’s exactly what someone lse who recently got one said. He said, “Sure it sounds good now, but just wait!” I agree that even with all of the advances in audio, analog really can sound so much better and fuller with the right system. I like streaming too and some CDs, but they don’t sound near as good as my vinyl rig. Great question about the tubes. This amp is supposed to be pretty easy on tubes and they say you can get up to 10,000 hours on the big tubes and like 3,000-5,000 hours on the smaller ones. Rogue sells tubes and there are a few reputable places online where you can buy them too. I don’t know if you remember this, but some tubes sound better and are highly sought after. It’s not uncommon for people to pay $400+ for a single tube. I do remember the cabinet of tubes at the grocery store and the stereo store though. Those were the days! They also make new tubes now in Eastern Europe and China, but people still seek out the old US or Holland-made tubes. I will say this, the amp looks amazing in the evening with the lights low and a beverage in your hand!

  8. We have been making a ton of top "X" lists lately. Most guys in the top 500 range with some really good offers. Really itching to see who we'll start getting in this class! I would think there would have to be some commits starting pretty soon. Kiyaunta Goodwin - Top 13 (doubt we have any shot, but still good to see) Omar Graham - Top 10 Jordan Allen - Top 15 Edwin Wilson Tara Kolenge - Top 8 Ashton Whitner - top of his list Marquis Gracial - Top 8 Melvin Jordan - Top 5 Demon Moore - Top 8 Jadairion Smith - Top 4

  13. A few fence posts and some chicken wire and you will have a cucumber fence! LOL

  14. I don't disagree with that, but the difference in having that great 1 on 1 played late and not is maybe 50% to 25%. You can make a F4 without that.

  18. We need to get our coaching situation resolved as soon as possible or we won't be in position to recruit anyone. If Archie is coming back the athletic director needs to let it be known. If a change is going to happen it also needs to happen quickly. Archie will be considered a lame duck coach and schools will use that against him in recruiting.

  20. Just an idea. I live in down too. Bought some 1x1 furring strips and 2" wire fencing and made lean too's. If you have a fence it could be an option possibly. I just stapled the fencing to the wood. Hard to see in the picture but my wire mesh goes to the top of my fence and I stapled it to my fence.

  21. Actually ...that’s true because it would take an amazing team to beat them ( shanandoah is about as good a group of 8 rotation players as far as playing a as a team I’ve seen ) but you stand zero chance without competent bigger players ...no way Blackford will match with them if they hit in semi state .....I don’t have time to check but I bet he’s undefeated against teams without a 6’5 or taller player on the roster

  24. The original pressing is pretty hard to beat. And I always tell people great mastering on an old medium will always beat compressed/crappy mastering on the latest tech. I think that’s what really hurt CDs eventually. Sure, they were quiet, but they also often sounded thin and grating b/c of compression and loudness levels. I also stream a ton of music, but I hate not being able to choose the version I want. Sometimes it sounds great and then other times, it’s subpar. 9 times out of ten it’s the good old fashioned album for me. And then there’s always this cartoon that really captures it for me:

  25. It is so weird. I had a staff member ask me in late-December of 2019 if we would have to wear masks and I laughed. And there’s this - currently, one of my faculty is in New Zealand for his wedding (he’s from there). He and his wife landed and were immediately escorted to a hotel for a mandatory 14 day quarantine. No exceptions. Food is delivered to them. The crazy thing is no one wears masks in NZ anymore he said. They look out their window and talk to people on Facetime and it’s like COVID never existed. I think masks are here to stay for at least the rest of this year in many places.

  26. Yep, that album is mastered so well. Their self-titled LP with Sultans of Swing is also mastered really well. Just sounds incredible on any system. I have a 45rpm version of both of those albums and man, they just sound so rich and full. Sometimes, you just have to laugh it sounds so good.

  27. I have nothing close to as good as @Lostin76’s system, just a quartz turntable from the 80’s and a 2.1 Jamo Speaker system (which is pretty good). My downfall is that I’m running it through an Onkyo with no phono; therefore I’m using a battery powered preamp. 😬 Anyway, in regards to the sound....I don’t know why but when thinking about warmth, I always come back to the one album that pushed me into vinyl: Dire Straits - Bothers in Arms. Maybe it’s just me, or how this album was produced/mixed, but the sound just blankets me every time I listen to it. Especially the intro for Money For Nothing. If you see this record picking through cases at a record shop - you have to pick it up.

  28. Appointment yesterday went well. A mass was found on the CT scan. Dr does not think its cancerous we will monitor every 3 months. If it grows he will need surgery to remove it. Overall a positive appointment, thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
