What makes you think that he was waiting on a ratface offer? I don't tweet so i am genuinely curious. You could be right but nothing that i have seen says he is leaning towards one team or the other.

When did he commit? If he didn't we have no idea how recruiting is going to be for them with ratface retiring. I think they are going to have a steep falloff with a new coach.

As much as I loathe giving George any credit he had a really good game from the looks of it. I expect him to crap the bed in the next game since he had a good one tonight.

The only reason I can think of that they are considering him is that it would generate a lot of excitement in the fanbase and help ticket and merchandise sales. 🤷‍♂️ It can't be for his coaching prowess that is for sure lol.

Oh I imagine boards get lucky occasionally. Like has been mentioned in this thread, Kaufman is a perfect example. If crowd effect actually had any wisdom he would be a Hoosier right now. There are probably countless other players that boards thought were for sure going to their school only to be shocked that they didn't.

While Turdue might be the favorite I wouldn't put to much stock into what message board fans think about recruits and what team they are going to. I've noticed that most of us are clueless when it comes to recruits.

I would say that PSU, MSU, Louisville and now Michigan under BO is probably quite a bit beyond shady lol.

Unfortunately you are right, this is what college athletics is anymore. If someone wants to continue following college sports it is something they have to accept. The NCAA is pretty incompetent and doesn't care about anything that is shady or in the grey area.

I was using taking Williams out just like you were taking Doherty out, just following your lead on that. Yes Williams was the right coach for them just like we hope Coach Woodson is for IU. But lets not act like Guthrie and Doherty were some great coaches and that UNC is the gold standard for always hiring the right coach. Also the only reason they got Williams is because he is one of them. And for me personally I think the Davis hire was pretty underwhelming.

It is still a pretty small sample size. And if we are going to use FFs Mike Davis got us to one, and even though Crean needed to go he did win some B1G championships. So I guess we can turn it around and say take Williams out of the mix and theirs isn't much better then the Hoosiers. Them getting Williams wasn't some brilliant strategy.

George's shooting has been bad the last couple of games, I think he was 9-27 last game and so far this game 5-20. So far I am loving it lol.

If I was Coach Woodson this is something that would be so low on my list of concerns that it wouldn't even register with me. If I can replace an IU guy with someone that is better I do it without hesitation. Did he kick him to the curb or did Roberts voluntarily leave?
