  1. Yea, the person wanting Race and TJD to leave was nuts. I think Durr could be a serviceable starter but obviously wouldn't be the focal point of our offense or at least not near as much as TJD and Race are this year. It's curious that Woodson thinks we will have that many open spots but no point in trying to guess which players are leaving.
  2. Looks like he alternated between being a running backs coach and a quarterbacks coach. Although for the past 2 years he was a senior analyst at Maryland. Has a lot of experience. Hopefully turns out to be a good hire.
  3. so purdue coed shat...does it smell different than other shat or is all the shat the same.... if they shat in west laffy, could you really tell given the overall smell of the entire city?
  4. a bit late to the transfer party. Wonder why he is leaving
  5. Odd to have all those offers but only visited IU and Tulane. of course. who knows how accurate the info is on 247. Rivals doesn't even have Indiana in his list of schools or having visited anybody. So 247 wins this one for having better info between the two sites.
  6. It's no different then when coaches say they are staying. History shows it is hardly reliable. 2 of the 3 sons are at IU now. It would likely be an uncomfortable situation if everyone around them thought they were going to bounce to another school. If they aren't leaving school mid-semester, it would be expected for them to say they are staying at IU regardless of what they end up doing. It's good news that they reaffirmed their commitments but it is fair to take the statements with a grain of salt. With the transfer rules, it's hard to expect anyone to stay for their entire college career with any confidence.
  7. let us hope for the other possible option
  8. Just going for a more dramatic announcement.
  9. We thinking Justin Bieber or maybe David hasselhof?
  10. If i was a recruit, I would mess with people and announce on April 1st so everyone would question it.
  11. Then you and the other poster were debating 2 different things.
  12. I don't think that was his point. I think Little was brought to IU's attention. It wasn't because IU was out there watching a bunch of kids in Finland and looking for one to be worth recruiting. I haven't seen anyone question the staff's judgment over going after Little. The questioning was in regards to whether or not it would be worth our time and effort to actively search for another player from Finland. The more time you spend there (26-28 hours round trip by plane + whatever time is spent there), the less time you are spending in other areas looking for recruits. One could imagine that the rate of return of spending our time and resources going to Finland could be better spent elsewhere.....unless we get notice again of another prospect being worth going after...like the Little situation. Time is valuable in recruiting. Unless you have a known target to go after, I don't see scouting Finland as being the go to strategy.
  13. I don't mind plays being called from sideline or wherever just as long as the plays are in quickly before the offense snaps the ball.
  14. Sorsby was offered after the staff watched wydner throw. Doesn't sound like they want him.
  15. Someone on TOS said we were wanting Sorsby more. Will be interesting to see what happens.
  16. I'm not sure you can count on him moving to another position if QB doesn't work out. Could just as easily transfer if we try that. Glad it looks like we may be able to add a good QB or at least one that looks good. Interesting that we are going after mobile QB here but picked an immobile transfer QB.
  17. My post was meant from a recruit's perspective. It would be very difficult to figure out which school would lead to the easiest path to playing time given that the school could easily pick up a transfer qb later on or on the flip side have a bunch of injuries or transfers out.
  18. In the age of transfers, I don't think current depth means anything. Somewhere that looks promising for playing time now could easily turn into the opposite and vice versa.
  19. so missouri has 2 defensive line coaches? seems redundant
  20. On the flip side, it is generally players that weren't able to secure a starting spot with their old team or got passed on the depth chart. Maybe a higher floor / lower ceiling type of deal.
