  1. I kept going back and forth with my flex once Mitchell was ruled out and I went with V. Jefferson and left Gage on the bench where he scored 23 and I would have already won the game this week.
  2. Just like whether or not to foul up 3 under 5 seconds. I foul every time. Too many things have to happen to lose.
  3. The guy I am playing this week in the Playoffs had Derrick Henry. Fortunes can change quickly
  4. I am not a gambling man but had the game gone to OT the Pack would have been a huge favorite to win. I am not against going for 1 but IMO going for 2 was the correct call for that situation.
  5. Exactly and they proved that they had a great play because the scored on the 2pt conversion
  6. My son and I were screaming at the TV. Just like we were yesterday when we both thought going for 2 was the right call. On several occasions I have had the opportunity to play against the #1 team in the state and I have never won any of them. Been close a few times and got run out the gym a few as well. On 1 occasion we were down 2 with about 8 seconds to go and we had the ball called timeout to set up a play and all my assistants as well as players knew we were going for the win. We ran our best play for our best player to get a 3 for the win. The kid hits the shot and they call an away from the ball offensive foul. No one person on our team or coaching staff ever questioned going for the tie to force OT. I just don't understand anyone thinking that if we make this 1 play we can win especially if you are not the better team
  7. The chances are far less on going into OT with Packers. Anything can happen and on that 1 given play they could score 2, right even though they are 27%. You said it anything can happen. Too many things have to go your way to beat a team in OT that is better than you. Ask Auburn about that if their coach had the balls to go for 2 Bama might be home instead of #1 seed. The better team wins.
  8. The pulse during that game. Obviously things change during a game and you adjust accordingly. For every game prior I met with our coaches we talked that if we had the opportunity to win the game on a play or go into OT what we would do. If we knew we were the better team we planned on going to OT, if we did not feel we were we tried to win it in regulation. As a coach if you do what you feel ultimately is best for your team you don't regret it.
  9. The longer you play the better team wins. They had a chance to win it on that play you take it
  10. I see your point but they had the chance to win the game with 1 play. If it were me I would do the same. Hell they went 3 for 3 against the Colts on conversions. I can see why people are against it but when I was coaching and I tried to have a real pulse of my team and I knew when to go all in or when to be conservative. Harbaugh is a very good coach and I trust that at that moment he felt that it was in the best interest of his team to win it right there. I wonder what the win probability would have been for Ravens if the game had gone to OT? More or less than 27% I don't know but feel the only way the Ravens were going to win that game was on that play,
  11. The bigger issue was going for it on the 1st possession, more so than on the last 2pt conversion IMO.
  12. My point. He knows his team better than us watching and he knew they were going to lose if Manning got the ball. Just like Harbaugh knew the Ravens would lose if Rodgers got the ball in OT. Common sense says that if you play long enough the better team wins. OT the Packers win that game 9 of 10. I have no issue with the call to go for 2
  13. I dislike Bill Belichick as much as anyone else but the man knows a little about football. He went for it on 4th and 2 deep in own territory because he said if they get those 2 yards they win. If not Peyton was going to beat them regardless of where they gave him the ball.
  14. Not basted on ability or anything but in the regard that you speak of he reminds me of Charlie Miller. You see glimpses of greatness but so many more times of he can't get out of his own way. Frustrating for us fans but has to be so much for so for him. He knows what he is capable of. Hoping like crazy he finds it with consistency
  15. I am a firm believer that most coaches if told you can make 1 play and win the game , they would take that. Never give Rodgers the ball or Brady or back in the day Manning in those situations. Especially with the back up QB an a defensive team that had been on the field a lot. In OT the offense has a huge advantage. To win the Ravens needed 3 yards. To win in OT you would have to do a whole lot more to get that win
  16. That's a pretty good double dip. Several years ago we went to St Louis for a friend's bachelor party. He is a huge Raiders fan and Cards baseball fan. That Sunday we went to the Raiders Cardinals game and that evening saw the Cards and Giants playoff game.
  17. I only need 14 pts to win my 1st round playoff game from Cook, Moreau, Van Jefferson and Eagles def. If I lose I didn't deserve it. Just hope that I get Waller, Swift and Mitchell back
  18. I feel the Colts are the best team in the AFC. before the game last night I told my daughter she needed to bet on the Colts to get to the Super Bowl. She got it a +1300.
  19. That's an awesome day for the 2 of you. Enjoy!! Go Colts
  20. Now that's a scary thought. So if Lucas Oil implodes we will know why
  21. Maybe old news but North Carolina will be filling in for Ohio State and will be kicking the crap out of the Wildcats this weekend.
  22. Most parents don't want to parent. They either want to be friends or just want to be left alone so they can update their FAcebook posts. I would prefer the helicopter parents as to what we are seeing from most parents. today. I personally never see it getting any better.
  23. I don't either. Our school sent out an email warning parents about this last night. A few months ago the challenge was to destroy school property and they had a slap a teacher challenge. A 6th grade boy came up to a female teacher I know and asked her if she had heard of the slap a teacher challenge and asked her what she would do if he slapped her. She said I don't make enough money that would keep my from kicking you butt and I have plenty of bail money if I catch a charge. He said you are serious aren't you and she she said try me.
  24. It is crazy for sure. I really need Mitchell to play this week. I love having an RB in the flex and don't want to have to use Van Jefferson there because I might need him to take M. Brown's spot.
  25. The Colts have lost the last 8 to NE by an average of 18 points. NE was scores at least 30 points against the Colts in 9 straight.
