Which team on that list do you think OSU would replace? Michigan? Purdue?

Pure speculation, but I would guess Michigan or Purdue (probably Michigan). You could make a case for Kentucky because they haven't offered, but I bet he keeps them.

If IU & Sparty aren’t on it I’m gonna be shocked.

    UK

    Duke

    Purdue

    Michigan

    that would be my guess

I like this, probably close. Only other info is he said he would be taking an official to Ohio St, so I would guess they make the cut.

Why would you assume IU couldn't take both? I'm not suggesting they will land either, but they aren't the same player.

Oh I think IU would take both, but with significant positional overlap it may be a hard sell to get them both in the same class. Although maybe with his perimeter skills, Booker may see himself as more of a combo forward. I would be ecstatic if we landed either, let alone both.

We're hot and heavy on Kiser too. Might be a first to pull the trigger type thing.

I don't think we have room for 5, nor do I think we can take Newton, Carr, and Kiser. Jmo

See, I always thought it looked like we were looking to take 5. Race, Kopp, and X 100% gone. TJD I would guess very likely. And that adds 1 more unexpected which would be the norm to expect in the portal era.

I was able to speak with Jack in the weight room today. They've played some unreal competition this summer, by design. The HS team I'm saying.

Jack looks big though. He's really filled out. Probably a legit 6'6 now, as well.

Any idea who has been making consistent contact / which schools he is interested in?

Unfortunately this will be CMW first “win or loss” due to him being in state. But the college bball world wants him. And don’t bring up the cathedral hate nonsense. Collin Hartman and armaan Franklin came here. Too buzzed to fix capitalization

Good point on Franklin, but Hartman graduated hs before Delaney took the Cathedral job.

    Composite #141

Above average length, athleticism and shooting.   Poor mans Clay Thompson?
Will be surprised if he isn’t in the rotation early and starting year 2

Are you hedging here? This is a very optimistic view of his development timeline, and I even happen to like Gunn's future quite a bit. I just think  it will take a couple years to happen and get major minutes.

If you all want to see some truly laughable stuff, here's uber-douche twindegrees take on the IU program after Fife was let go:

Comical that he pretends to have inside information and then lays out absolute nonsense.  Good to see his smug condescension fade a bit in recent days.

TwinDegrees has IU on the brain so often, we should buy him a custom reversible jacket.

Granted I have only seen highlights of Booker, but I'm not sure I see Lamar in his game. He is skilled but Odom was basically a 6'10" pg in high school, a consensus top 5 player who some had #1 overall in his class. I like Booker but seems like a little bit of a stretch.

Wonder if we will reach out to Pack now after that XJ incident. Depending on the severity of the arrest

No idea on the severity of the charges or if they will stick. I would still guess the probability of X being on the roster next year is MUCH higher than that of Pack.

At some point the collective “we” are going to have to get past this dread that once PUKe is involved, we no longer have a chance with a recruit.

Get it, it’s been this way for some time… for some of you younger guys, maybe your entire lifetime. But if we truly believe that this staff is going to change the culture that has been lost in the program for quite some time, we gotta start acting like we believe that we’re going to win some of these battles.

In other words, time to walk the walk.

Agree with this. My pessimism is mostly coming from his dad playing for Cal, calling UK his dream school, and attending UK camps as a kid.

You watch him for 2 minutes and want to see the 60 kids rated higher?

not sure I don’t like him better than Furst, TKR or Banks…..

Watched him when they played a while back. I agree this kid can be good. Different than Banks, probably has lower ceiling but seems to make all the right plays. Idk about better than Furst, their games may actually be quite similar. Both will be very good college players.
