I don't want it to happen with this kid or anyone we are involved with. Just once I'd like an elite recruit to come out and say I really wanted to play in the Big 10 but their brand of tackle basketball and how officials call games would stunt my chances at being in the league so I chose the SEC or ACC,etc...
100% would love this. Maybe someone who has already played could rip them apart.
Lebron: "I really wanted to go to Ohio St but the Big Ten allows football on hardwood and my femur would probably be snapped in mid February by some douche nugget in maize and blue."

Just my views of it. This is happening a lot of places not just NV.
Not saying anything about this situation specifically because I have absolutely zero clue.
Anyways, just know that these are kids and ultimately make decisions based on guidance from emotionally charged parents or coaches.. when we are talking about transferring.
I'm not trying to "correct" you or anything like that. Just building from what you said, on the topic, with what I have seen from my experience.
There have been 3 MAJOR transfers in BCs conference this season in basketball, alone. And one this summer. 4 big time players.
Care to share? As an alum of a Mid-Southern school, I used to follow the conference closely but havent in recent years.

Any guesses on who has speeches?

Essentially yes. It's going to be a battle.

I didn't watch the game. Chose to do something else. Saw we right at end of game, wasn't surprised we went to OT and then got man handled there.
Might still make the tourney if we win out, which includes Purdue away. Stranger things have happened.
Same. It's hard to watch this team flounder.

He's A LOT closer to that now, then 365 days ago. I understand that can be said for a few kids. Again, jmo.
Are you in Bloomington?
Thanks for the report!
And no sadly my days in Bloomington are done. Currently live in Jeffersonville, so I will definitely lend a hand in scouting local kids when they come up.

I think it's the latter. I doubt anyone on here has seen enough of Jack to judge what level of college ball he is capable of.
I know I have not despite being only an hour away. Does he project as a high major player at this point?

Here's where I'm at with IU. I love Coach Woodson. Just don't like the operation right now because of decades of ineptitude. Time to take a timeout from our games. It literally kills me inside to see our guys keep making the same mistakes over and over and over again.
I recently had to do the same. Stopped watching games live. I record and might watch if we win, and definitely dont if we lose. I hate that I have to, but it's so much better for health.

Seems like the best we can hope for is limping to the finish line at this point. This song gets old.

I do too, UE is a dumpster fire and it sounds like it’s going to get even worse. Lickliter is rumored to be fired after their next game, whenever that is.
Maybe Chris Mack will come out of retirement and coach his former school.

Have we offered?

It looked like CMW was rigid with the lineups today. That can sometimes be forgiven when we can out-talent the opponent. Illinois is not one of those we can.
-
Hope we can land this kid. He seems like a big with solid perimeter skills but mixes it up in the post quite a bit.

Big if true, but I’d temper expectations. He did the same regarding his OSU commitment only to retract weeks later with the “family over everything” quote. Someone did mention NIL being a factor so there’s always hope he’ll stay. Perhaps mom said “go do you in SB but we’re staying here” ??? A man can hope, at least.
I think this tweet was from Deland II, the transfer from Miami (OH), not Dasan, the former OSU commit.

I know in most cases having your assistants poached by bigger programs is a good thing (in terms of our success and going above normal IU football baselines), but for some reason this has a sinking ship sort of feel to it.
-
He seems like because of his athleticism and wingspan, he would be able to guard multiple spots a la Geronimo.

I got too high after the Purdur win, and I'm going to get too low with this loss. Such is the pendulum of IU basketball. In reality, we are probably a 7-10 seed at the end of the year, about where most expected.

Hadn't seen much of UM this season, but they had more talent at every position and hustled harder at every position (outside of X, maybe). That is usually a recipe for a beatdown.

Welcome to the board!
Thanks! Long time lurker, finally made an account.
Not the cleanest win, but this team continues to grind. Geronimo played great and our bench showed it can be a strength. Thursday will be huge.
