  1. I think you're right. Definitely looking that way. Mitchell Robinson at pick 36 is 2nd in WS. SGA has outplayed his draft position. Ayton and Young have played to/above theirs. Luka is out of this world so far (and for being so young). Porter is coming on strong now. Robert Williams has played pretty well in limited time (1st in WS/48). List goes on and on...
  2. I agree with you about rankings. They seem to be for NBA projections more than for college anyway, so I can see why he wouldn't be top 150 if that's the case.
  3. Spending last 2 years at a prep school his dad is starting. Wonder what shoe company is sponsoring that?
  4. Be nice if they get Cal to coach the Knicks and get that scum out of college basketball.
  5. Would be an awesome legacy recruit. Would let IU celebrate him and his father (again) especially given his untimely way too soon passing a couple of years ago.
  6. I've attached the excel file I used in the tournament and included a results screenshot below in case people don't want to click on/download a file. Of note (to me at least): Bob Knight was undefeated vs. other coaches in the tournament. I knew he would do well but thought it was really interesting that none of the other coaches beat him. Mike Davis was winless. His teams matched up with 70s era teams did him in. The decades played out mostly as expected, with the 50s and 60s benefiting from matchups vs. Crean/Archie rebuild years. 7. Recap through round one: Coaches: Decades: 1950s: 3-0 1960s: 5-5 1970s: 8-2 1980s: 6-4 * 5-3 when not facing same decade 1990s: 3-7 2000s: 3-7 2010s: 4-6 2020s: 0-1
  8. Glad (some) people are enjoying it. The seeding by sequential years produces some interesting matchups in the coming games/days that would never happen if it were truly seeded, so you may change your mind.
  9. Didn't realize how many good dunks the team had this season.
  10. 3 points shooting of 53.6% on 4.8 attempts per game one year and 44.8% on 5.3 attempts the next. Wow!
  11. Jay Edwards was a bad man at IU. Too bad we didn't get 4 years out of him.
  12. Game 4 VS In the biggest mismatch of the tournament thus far, can SR A.J. Moye’s heart and determination will the 2004 Hoosiers to an upset of the NCAA 3rd place and Big Ten champion 1973 Hoosiers with Steve Downing and a future legend FR Quinn Buckner? https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/indiana/2004.html https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/indiana/1973.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2003–04_Indiana_Hoosiers_men's_basketball_team https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1972–73_Indiana_Hoosiers_men's_basketball_team
  13. Game 3 VS Bob Knight takes on the man who replaced him in Bloomington, when his 1st Indiana team, the 1972 Hoosiers with Joby Wright and Steve Downing battle Mike Davis’s 2005 Indiana team with Bracey Wright and D.J. White. https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/indiana/2005.html https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/indiana/1972.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004–05_Indiana_Hoosiers_men's_basketball_team https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1971–72_Indiana_Hoosiers_men's_basketball_team

  18. Be sure to repost those links in the game thread tomorrow
  19. Good question. The question posed in the poll will just be "Who wins?". It will be up to each HSN member to decide how they want to vote and the parameters surrounding the "game". One might try to "simulate" the game in their mind (or online at places like https://www.whatifsports.com/ncaab/default.asp#top). Another might pick based on like/dislike of players and/or the coach. I'm hoping people will discuss the teams in question (debate/plead their case) and link to games/videos before voting. My ultimate answer to your question is "It is up to you" and is specific to each person voting.
