Pacers and Sixers have split games. Pacers are 15-5 versus the East meanwhile the Sixers are 16-10. The Sixers have done worse against the easier conference and have more Western conference games ahead of them.

I didn’t watch the game, but read that VO shot 4-15 and was a big reason for lack of ball movement in the first half.  I’ve seen other posters on here state that the Pacers are very good when VO isn’t looking to get his and lets the game come to him.  For those of you who watched, did you see this as an issue last night?

Vic basically wasn't there in the first half. He racked up a handful of assists, but he only had 2-4 points at halftime. Nobody shot the ball well. Turner and Thad played well. It was like the entire team was sleepwalking.

I admit don't follow the NBA much but it does seem the Pacers have been just fine without Vic. So do they and Vic adjust to making it less of a VO show and more of a team show now that he is coming back?

Will be interesting to see. They certainly have tonight in the limited minutes victor has been in there.

He’s 12th in PPG at 24, leading the Thunder in scoring, 3rd in steals, leading the Thunder, and 3rd in 3-pointers made. He’s having a great season so far, now that Melo is gone, and the 1-2 punch with Westbrook that has the Thunder a top West team. West was the leader in many ways of those P squads,  but PG was the lead scorer and the 2-way player that fought Miami in those 2 conf finals. PG may be more a Pippen than an MJ, but he was the P’s franchise player and a great player overall for the P’s before Bird screwed up the roster, it’s good for the P’s that Bird’s hands are no longer involved.

For the P’s, looking forward to seeing Vic back hopefully soon

    You’re right, he’s a great 2 in a 1-2 punch.

Could it be as simple as MLB is just not as popular as it once was?

Like it or not, the influx of Latin American players has not sat well with a lot of the American crowd. Too many get off my lawn guys don't like the game played with emotion or fun.

So with that logic you could go full court juggling the ball then go in for a layup.  When I played you couldn't juggle the ball and take a couple of steps because in basketball that is traveling.

If you haven't possessed the ball, you can't travel.

Interesting move with Butler to Sixers — but they gave up Covington??

sixers need shooting. Butler is a top 15 or so guy, two-way player, but not an outside shooter. I’m sure the Rockets are pissed, they need a Butler. I wonder if Philly does. Good move, or potentially break even or bad move?

And Saric. A nice big 3 for Philly but they now have no bigs other than Embiid and no depth.

Mostly agree with you on Turner. He’s got a lot of value on defense. I don’t know if we’re tying to make him a serious threat on offense or if he just thinks he is but I don’t like his game on O at all. I like that he can pick and pop and occasiinaly hit a three but running specific plays for him I don’t really like.

It’s a shame that we will probably never be able to attract a super star and we have to overpay to keep what we have so in that regard I get the turner deal. I don’t think I’d sanction it but I get the reason why they did.

We have to draft well and that TJ Leaf pick was a huge blunder.

You need to take a look at the players around Myles' salary if you think the deal was an overpay.
