I think baseball is a bit more complicated. I once had a student that was a baseball stud. He told me that he would have been drafted out of high school but after he told people he still planned on going to college MLB teams backed off. He didn’t get drafted that year but would have been had he been open to skipping college. Now that was about 20 years ago so maybe things have changed. 🤷‍♂️ Side note…he got drafted three years later and had a brief stint in the majors with the White Sox, I believe.

We tend to have a lot of noon kickoffs unless we are playing Michigan or OSU. But we have run into planning issues as well. It’s all about TV.

If I remember correctly, it's often (though not always) the week of the game or the week preceding the game.

Hamilton Southeastern forward Maya Makalusky committed today. She’s a 2025 commit, shot 40% from 3, and had offers from Kentucky, Ohio St, Alabama, and others. She is listed as a 6’3 wing. She has an older sister at Butler and her mom played at Villanova.

IU has this but they don’t use it on the uniforms. Is that what you mean, you wish they used this on the uniforms?

Indiana St and Kentucky both got swept (TCU and LSU advance).

IU will still have UCLA, Penn St, and Wisconsin on the schedule next year and OSU, Michigan, and USC the next. There will still be plenty of opportunities to have those move the needle wins.

The rivals story said he is the 22nd ranked player in his class in Indiana. I don’t think he had any other power 5 offers. From a recruiting standpoint I’d say he is flying under the radar.

Ajani had several power 5 offers including Louisville. But on the whole I agree. Same can be said of the DB we just picked up from Carmel.

There wasn’t enough hotel space and whatnot due to Terre Haute hosting special olympics. So the game was moved to TCU. A TCU sports talk show host urged TCU fans to donate to special olympics and I guess money has been pouring in. Class move by them. The Indy Star is reporting that over $23,000 has been donated so far.

I do too. I wonder why the game wasn’t played at IU which would allow ISU to still somewhat be the home team?

He is from Danville High School. Committed to IU on Monday. Is 6’ 7, 255 and also plays hoops. He was at an IU camp recently and picked up offers from Ball St. and Eastern Michigan.

I didn’t read the article and I just read your post so I didn’t see that about being on the roster. I read the article. It didn’t say on the roster. It did say one of their players which to me is kinda vague but I get it.

I’m doing nothing more than speculating here but could this be the reason they didn’t re-sign Ngakoue? Personally, I think he would fit that description.
